The ultimate irony in all of this is that James Gunn himself approves of the firing, and likely thinks hand-wringers like Bob aren't helping the healing process.

Ironically with Marvel/Disney still using his script he'll get credit and a check and honestly probably wants this to end given his name associated with pedophilia isn't a good thing and he probably want to look for new ventures and this hinders that Bob and his Manchild SJW ilk are doing more harm to Gunn's career than Disney at this point.

I could see him claiming Gunn only said it to save face. Kinda like how he believes Hillary and Obama being against gay marriage was them "rightfully deciding the world isn't ready yet" instead of their actual opinions until data came in that most Americans either support it or don't care.

I don't know how you can compare ANY! U.S. politician of any party to any German political party. To those not in the U.S., our politicians are barely even politicians. The two main ones (Republicans and Democrats) have shockingly little differences if you think about it. Every single one of them will pander to bases for money/votes/social media likes and will even flip flop and betray their own parties and derail campaign promises (in addition to having them vetoed by Congress) whenever there's benefits. There's little to no concern for health care/poverty among ANYONE running for Mayor, the Senate, or especially the Presidency. American politics is downstream from culture and their own fans (who are few compared to the Independent voter base). There's also lots of Single Issue voters and politicians and swing voters, as well as speeches and conferences that basically pander to whoever's interested in doing what it is they want (The Nike Democrats- just talk about it!) And the two terms each has been the standard for decades. I fully expect the Democrats to ditch their current path in 2024 and win those two terms.

In other words, it's not Germany, where newspapers all agree, and their right-wing party (Merkel is right-wing in Germany because it means something different to what it means in the USA) has a stranglehold and there is little change between elections where they win 4 in a row by a landslide.
