Well, to be fair, Blobbo brought up Star Wars first... and naturally, he reads a lot more into the filmmaker's intentions than is evident to a normal outside observer. It's clear Bob wants to be the CleverClogs whose outside the box thinking leads him to discover the SuperAmazing plot twist that will have others gasping at his insight. I for one, can't remember a time when Bob was ever right about any of his musings, probably because most of them revolve around the making of a script filled with shallow grabs for attention rather than the making of a script that tells a decent and effective story.

But lets say Bob finally did have a crack at writing a film. At what point would the people who financed it be saying to themselves, "Holy shit, we put all of our money into bankrolling this Turkey! We'd better find a ghostwriter who can doctor this script into something a normal audience can halfway understand! "

This is the biggest (heh) problem with Bob. While it's already been stated to death that his knowledge is shockingly small, he has no desire to broaden his horizon or improve, so he's stuck being dumb and mediocre.

I remember when this guy first premiered on the Escapist Magazine with his 'Big Picture' show. First topic was how the Covenant were actually the good guys in Halo because they were diverse and the UNSC was bad because the characters were all white.

Honestly, I think the problem would be more basic: what script could Bob write that wouldn't be derivative to the point of being legally actionable? What create capacity does he possess that would allow him to put an even mildly amusing/engaging twist on an existing concept or genre?

If anything I learned from reading Brick by Brick, it's that anything written by Bob is characterized by his basement-size ego, lack of brevity and the abysmal lack of focus. I mean, if he had the ambition, he could write a shitty classic like The Room.

Really what's most outrageous is that these two troglodytes are confusing the aesthetic design for the functional design of the machine, which is no doubt what they're talking about. The aesthetics of the GC are okay but not exactly special. The GameCubes real catch is that it is more or less designed to be portable, that's why it was made so compact and why it has the black semicircle grip on the back. Functionally the GameCubes controller is perhaps the most popular modern controller second only to the dualshock line. Of course Bob's diabetic jelly brain couldn't parse "functional design" and "aesthetic design" if he found them in his mashed potatos

So I decided that since no one else did it, I'd get some screencaps of Bob's twitter and... there's nothing. He tweets a lot, but it's all weak and bland, especially by Bob standards. "The Sonic Movie looks bad." "Aquaman looks good." "DC announced Crisis on Infinite Earths."

The closest thing to any worthwhile content was him shilling for SNK 40th anniversary not because the games are good, but because it has Athena and because Athena has a female lead you should buy it.

But even that is barley worth a "meh".

To sum up why the Gamecube didn't do as well as other consoles it was competing with:

• Lack of other features that the console could perform
• Relying on a demographic of gamers that were in the minority
• Missing out on bigger gaming franchises of the period because of their family-friendly appeal

The Gamecube wasn't a bad console by any means. It was a good console that lost out due to poor decision making on Nintendo's part. Bob and other Nintendo fanboys want to instead criticize the gaming industry for evolving instead of blaming Nintendo for not evolving with it.

One little bit of :autism: to add. The gamecube was also around at a time where Nintendo was censorship happy. In Freedom Fighters, there's a level early on where you blow up a petrol station with snipers on it. In the GC version you set a fire and the smoke blocks their sight. It was a surprise at the time that RE4, RE0, and REmake got released uncut, but they were exclusives which might explain it.
