Ain't one of the reason why the gamecube didn't sold as well, was because of the damn discs? That unlike the PS2 and Xbox that used DVD, it used a disc that held only 1,5 gb while a DVD hold 4,7 at the least. Less memory and date and so on.
You are correct, but the discs did have an advantage in deterring piracy and loading quicker.

Bob is pretty much saying “Fuck you if you’re a gamer that doesn’t only play Nintendo.”

"The original Apple iMac has the objective best aesthetic of any home computer, and the fact that it lost to Gateway should've been an early indicator of how far PC gamers would fall." -Bob, probably.
In other words, Bob has shit where his brains would normally be.

Wasn't Apple struggling against Microsoft at the time where PC gaming was a commercial profit?

That's one reason, though there was a lot more to it. A bigger issue with the disc thing was with how it limited the other features of the console: the PS2 and Xbox could both play movies that were out on DVD thanks to their disc format. Because the Gamecube used smaller discs, that was impossible for it to do. With the DVD market being a new and huge thing at the time, this was a massive advantage for other consoles to have over the Gamecube. Competing gaming companies were starting to understand that their consoles should have other features besides the main one of playing video games. Nintendo didn't.

Also since Nintendo changed to discs as the primary format, they couldn't have backwards compatibility with the N64. The PS2 could still play the original PlayStation games.

The bigger reason why the Gamecube failed however was due to a lack of third-party support. Many third-party developers saw the Gamecube as a console for kids, and thus decide to skip the Gamecube when developing titles like GTA or the big FPS games of that era. Nintendo missed out on a gold mine of content geared to teenagers and adults, the demographic of gamers which really dominated the sixth generation of gaming.

To sum up why the Gamecube didn't do as well as other consoles it was competing with:
  • Lack of other features that the console could perform
  • Relying on a demographic of gamers that were in the minority
  • Missing out on bigger gaming franchises of the period because of their family-friendly appeal
The Gamecube wasn't a bad console by any means. It was a good console that lost out due to poor decision making on Nintendo's part. Bob and other Nintendo fanboys want to instead criticize the gaming industry for evolving instead of blaming Nintendo for not evolving with it.

uhh, fucking what?

Hux? He thinks it’s about Hux? Or that Hux is the most consistent thing in the movies? Bob spent his viewing of the lLast Jedi sperging on Twitter instead of watching the movie, didn’t he? (Granted I wouldn’t blame him in that case). Hux went from a Grand Moff Tarkin’esque Villain in TFA to really really bad comedy relief clown in TLJ. I would say he might be the least consistent character in the new Star Wars movies, but that field is so bloody crowded it’s hard to judge.

This says so much about Bob. So many subtle insights into how his manchild mind works. The GameCube looks like a 90’s child’s toy. That is the aesthetic. Childish. All bright primary colors and simplistic layouts. It looks like those learning devices they give to toddlers, like Leapfrog. Of it’s competitors the PS One and the Sega Dreamcast both had a much cleaner, sleeker, more grown up, and overall more pleasing aesthetic. GameCube radiated immaturity and Childishness. The Playstaions aesthetic said “home entertainment”. Bob’s mind really did stop growing in the 90’s.

We know nothing about Hux (outside of whatever there is in the tie-in novels and other garbage). On screen has has never been anything more than a non-Force using foil for Kylo Ren and the personification of the First Order military, and so his own purpose, motivations, and background is as muddy and unfocused as anything else to do with the First Order. He's barely even present in Last Jedi except to get pantsed by Poe Dameron in the opening scene and to meekly surrender his power to Kylo Ren after Snoke dies. That Bob perceives some sort of Tom Hagenesque figure in this total cardboard cutout says a hell of a lot more about Bob's wacko ideas on storytelling than it does about the film.

The last Jedi is so awful that I have no hope for the next one. It’s as if a bunch of “creatives” (idiots who think they’re smart and have terrible ideas like Blobb) said “what if Vader BECAME the emperor??” and that’s how The Last Jedi happened. Plus you have al the side stories which are also really bad and boring.

I’m sure the next one will be praised by bad critics like Blobb to keep the narrative going, though.

:powerlevel::powerlevel::autism::autism:Actually, call me :optimistic:, I think Episode 9 has potential to be a flop like Transformers 5. Although Force Awakens was garbage, it did had some potential to be improved upon. Last Jedi unfortunately made both the shitty parts and mildly interesting parts about Force Awakens worse. As reflected by Solo's box office, Disney has poisoned the Star Wars brand.

In terms of reviews, Episode 9 also could be slammed by critics. However, I will agree with you that Bob will praise it because it's aligned with his political views; though he'll be one of the only ones to praise.:powerlevel::powerlevel::autism::autism:

Contrast this to how Nintendo redesigned the Famicom to look less toy-like when they released it as the Nintendo Entertainment System in North America and Europe. Given how Bob is mentally and emotionally stuck in 80s and 90s, one would almost believe that he would be critical of the Gamecube's design but his undying loyalty to Nintendo makes him the exact opposite.

I also think there's the potential in Episode IX for a shocking flop, but it doesn't have much to do with the terrible quality of Last Jedi, though obviously that's a significant factor. Worse, I think, is the way Disney and Lucasfilm handled the fallout: attacking people politically, shrieking about sexism, turning loose their shills in the fawning entertainment media to sneer at lifelong fans who thought the movie was a piece of shit. There was never any acknowledgment things had gone off the rails; just ridiculous, largely baseless assertions of harassment campaigns. (I really don't think it's an accident Ahmed Best showed up to whine about Jar Jar in the middle of all this.) I think that had more to do with Solo flopping than TLJ being garbage: you can't piss in a fanbase's face like that and not pay consequences.

If there's one thing I learned, is that the number one thing an entertainment company or artist must not do is piss off their fanbase, because that will fuck you in the ass in the end.

Seems like I have to invoke @Sexy Times Hitler ‘s Rule of Star Wars again...
I've got some other rules too, like "Always crop your screenshots", "Don't hate something because he likes it and vice versa" and "He's a fat idiot living in a basement, calm down and gain some fucking perspective".

In other words, just don't be @Godzilla@1989.
