Blackkklansman’s nominations feel like the Academy giving Spike Lee some recognition after not giving Do The Right Thing a Best Picture nomination in 1989.
Though it’ll win Best Adapted Screenplay, most likely giving Lee is Oscar moment.

I think by name recognition it's because it is an MCU movie and considering she was teased in the biggest movie of the MCU's history last year, the movie will just make Ant Man/Doctor Strange levels of money.
As for Bob, I still question how he could think he has such a high ego. How did he even get it?

A Wrinkle in Time was nothing less than the rape of an American literary treasure for bullshit politics. It deserved to tank, and it should have been buried in Bob's serial killer basement.

Name recognition is a bigger PR bomb than Disney has given credit for.
The mainstream boomer audience remembers Captain Marvel as Shazam, so they probably think Shazam and Captain Marvel are the same movie. Shazam also has the hit tv show to play off of with that crowd. The millennial audience has definitely never heard of Captain Marvel outside of the few that may have played Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 a decade ago.
As for Black Panther, it’s very obviously this year’s Fury Road. A decent popcorn flick that has no business winning any oscars, but will probably win like 7 of them because of progressivism, and Black Klansman could win because it’s this year’s Moonlight. Unless A Star Is Born wins for being this year’s La La Land.
Either way, this year’s nominations all suck. But if we’re lucky, Disney won’t win best animated feature for two of their worst releases since Inside Out(worst Pixar trash)

- Preemptively saying a film is going to be shit without seeing it first means you're "channer trash", "gamergate trash", and one of the "little people".
- Preemptively saying a film is a 10/10 must see masterpiece without seeing it first is perfectly fine.
- Preemptively saying you're not going to see the film is perfectly acceptable unless you're James Rofle.
- Boycotting and brigading of a film won't have an effect on the box office.
- Ghostbuster 2016 was only a failure at the box office because it was brigaded by channer trash, gamergate, and misogynist trolls.
- Gamergate are desperate to try and prove "get woke go broke" despite there being a large amount of examples already.
