You're right, except the Ultimate line was garbage. It was basically them cannibalizing their old, good stories, except as re-imagined by a 3edgy5u 11-year-old. With SEX! and GORE! and BLACKJACK! (OK, forget the blackjack.) However good the idea may have been, these companies absolutely refuse to leave their comfort zone when it comes to the stories they'll tell, especially when it's so easy to crib off Stan Lee and Chris Claremont instead of actually writing something new. (Though part of the trouble is that the mythos is part of so many of the titles- are the X-Men still the X-Men if they don't really have any of the same stories as the X-Men we all know and love? Marvel doesn't think so.)

Also, let's not forget that it was the Ultimate universe where Mr.Fantastic became a villain, mostly because Sue Storm told him to fuck off and that she didn't wanna marry him.

As if this bug-eyed bitch gave an angstrom of a shit about any working class Americans. How about the present day Democratic party bringing in scab workers from Mexico to fuck over all of the native born low-skill workers (both black AND white)? Reagan did plenty of shitty things (closing mental institutions, letting the Democrats talk him into approving Amnesty for Illegals in exchange for some magic beans, etc,) but for the Democrats to pretend that they care oh so much about the poor working class is fucking rich.

And as for Bob, we all know whom he considers to be the true working class: Woke hipsters who live in their relatives' basements, hawking internet reviews for the PatreonBux to pay off their degrees in Liberal Pop Culture Fart-Huffing.

Yea... Seems to me Bob's spent a great deal of time pushing this inferiors/obsolete people narrative that lines up quite nicely with the deplorables language of the H. Clinton campaign that seems to have formed the new Justice Democrats' clique. Bob doesn't care about those people, so why would he fault Reagan for not caring? More over, why would Cortez whose all about identitarian politics fault someone else's identitarianism claiming it pitted people against one another as the problem? I mean; isn't that her shtick?

And if he hadn't shut down asylums wouldn't most of the radical left supporters be in them? Seems like they owe Reagan a debt of gratitude for that alone - never mind ending the cold war. The hypocrisy from Movie Bob is astounding, absolutely astounding. Of course reality is stranger then fiction and nobody would believe a character like Movie Bob in fiction. It stands to reason of course in the case of AOC, she's a politician who appears to have brought a whole new swamp in need of draining with her. Imagine my shock...

AOC traded in 25,000 jobs at an Amazon HQ because she couldn't ideologically comprehend a big business getting a tax break in exchange for bringing said jobs. That move alone lost her any right she had to be "the working class candidate". When she had to choose helping her constituents or being a good comrade, she chose the latter without a beat.

Regarding Bob hating Reagan, it makes a lot of sense. Reagan was able to reach the top of both the film industry and the political system, Bob's dream jobs, all the while being a dirty Republican. Meanwhile. the best Bob can do is sperg on Twitter pretending to know squat about either topic. Really, all Reagan was missing was a role in Batman v. Superman to be Chipman Enemy No. 1.

Couldn't the movie/comic adaption easily be resolved by rereleasing certain stories and arcs which had a large amount of inspiration on the films? Using Bob's favourite film for example, rerelease books like The Dark Knight Rises, The Death of Superman, and What's So Funny About Truth, Justice, & the American Way? and slap a "Inspiration for Batman v. Superman" label on it.

Obviously, this isn't a one-size fits all approach for every movie (Movies based on original stories such as Into the Spiderverse may have trouble finding a good selection of books), but it feels like a much better solution than putting a new reader into the middle of a story that's 90% characters and ideas they won't recognize.

Dark Knight Returns and Death of Superman trilogy have been in print non-stop since their first TPB release (though Death's had numerous variations in terms of various collections omitting issues depending on which collection you have).

Also, What's So Funny About T,J,TAW is a bit trickier in that it was a single issue and not an actual arc. So it's fallen out of print save for "best of" compilations.

Also, new Big Picture on the plot twist Lego Movie 3 had while also talking shit about “manbabies.”

Mike Stoklasa on the movie critic profession in today's Captain Marvel review: "It's the least important thing in the whole wide world."

The gauntlet is thrown, Chimpman.

Also, automation seems to be assumed by Blob and AOC to be Star Trek level universal constructors and not robots that take a wage-giving job away from people that still have to pay for housing and food.
