True on that, because if you don't get a experience out of the job you will get it from the people you meet on the job. It looks like in the most bottom of the barrel jobs you will meet the most amazing and interesting people on the world, or at leats i've done in my experience.

And i get that people don't want to work in something they don't like or even because of some circumstances in their life, but come the fuck on. It's not about making a living, it's about making something out of your life. But for Bob and probably for a lot of leftards working is a torture devised by capitalistic pigs to favour the burguoise that will leech the life out of you, which is fucking strange because they are constantly riding the dick of those same burguoise that churn out everything they consume. I will take that until mom and dad cut them off and stop putting up with their lifestyle, getting a job will not even cross their minds.

Let's be real, the only job people like Bobo or similar SJW/Lefty/Millennial's aim for are jobs where they assume they need to put the least effort but still make big dollar signs. Stuff like blogging, working for some vapid "TRUMP ISH HITLUR!!" type magazine where they need to put a few stories and then constantly tweet the #resist!!! thing. Maybe getting a job at some "vidya game" firm or indies since they assume they won't have to do much work there. specially if it's indie, they can just crank out some walking simulator about some suffering SJW-Black/Mexican-mentally fucked-gay-Muslim-Tranny chick and also insert plenty of "FUCK DRUMPFF!! FUCK NAZIS!!!" BS.

I though only people in my country (Spain that is) had this horrid mentality of "Putting minimal effort and make big bucks" that is so incredibly asinine and dickish to the point that you believe that if it wasn't for their parents they would be like naked babies in the woods. I guess pricks that don't value things in life exist everywhere, because people like that in the end just value money and nothing else. Outside their posessions and earnings they have nothing else. Just think about it... What would Bob do if he suddenly won the lotto? Probably burn all his money in nintendo figures and inane junk instead of moving to a house of his own and actually improving his life.

I think Bob is only loyal to Corporations that regurgitate similar talking points. I don't think he would have as high a view of Chick-fil-A for example as he would Marvel.
I wonder if at some point in his life he rubbed his braincells together hard enough and came up with maybe working for them. If they are so fucking amazing why not join the club and their superior future of warm delicious Soma and cheap manual labour?

I disagree to some extent. Because while he certainly does spergout when a company does something he hates, he has also shown to have absolutely no backbone when it comes to maintaining the hatred for said company.

Look back on the lead up to Captain Marvel. He was so enraged about the Gunn firing, demanding we boycott Disney for the "injustice" that was done. He even at one point chastised fans who were getting excited for Captain Marvel for not sticking by Gunn's side like they said they would.

What does he ultimately do? Runs out to see the movie and heap praise on it. All after throwing a huge temper tantrum because a director he likes was fired.

You defiantly have a point, there's kinda a 'we have always been at war with Oceania, we have always been allied with with Eastasia' 1984 double think going on. I think that maybe it would be more accurate to say that Bob isn't loyal so much to institutions like companies or even ideals. I think he just says/does what he finds immediately emotionally gratifying, with little though put into the long term effects or contradictions. I think that this can be observed in how different his politics are now as opposed to 10 years ago, or his unhealthy diet.

As mike Rowe said, don't follow your passions, bring them along.

This shit hit me right in the feels because it's true. There can't be ever more true words out there. I could go full powerlevel about my career of choice and how i finally found my place after stumbling around and having this job falling on my lap. After working hard for 3 months i finally discovered that i really liked this job and even on the most depressing days i had i didn't felt as miserable as i did in other things.

This also ties with the pressure a lot of people have or they put on themselves in order to be successful. Don't have a manual work, that's for chumps and idiots. You need to make big bux and not make dirty work. Meanwhile, we have a crapload of overqualified people not willing to give some things a try just because it doesn't fit their idea of successful or they are full of prejudice against certain professions. I wouldn't mind being a farmhand, a fisherman or a lumberjack, but if you ask many people about what jobs they prefer, they would go for white collar jobs in a cushy office.

Kinda the same story here, a lot of people in my country were trying to nail degree's for bankers, lawyers, translators, tech stuff and etc. Well, now a good portion of 'em are stuck without jobs and just bitching everytime they go to the unemployment office to check in or stuck working at shopping malls or fast food joints.

The more comedic delivery of the lesson is a little film called...
Office Space

But yeah, I'm just a hard working bending unit myself, so i look down on no man that gets his hands dirty doing an honest day's work.

And a lot of those dirty jobs pay damn well.

(I look down on him for being a filthy meatbag, but not because of his job.)

I am encouraging my kid to pursue a trade/blue collar job. I don't care if it's carpentry, electrician, plumber, mechanic, whatever. My cousin went to technical school with expertise in repairing semis and other diesel trucks. After completing his training, he had a flood of job offers that paid a minimum of $50k/year. There will always be demand for tradespeople. Less so for people who majored in gender studies with minors in underwater sub-Saharan basket weaving.

Plumbers make fuckin' bank, dude. Had a guy check on my water heater for five minutes and he made 70 fuckin' dollars.
Rob Long likes to quote a joke about some Hollywood mogals saying the same thing you did and then the punchline, "we are in the wrong business."

This mentality is something that was hammered into millennials by their shitty boomer parents. It’s a key reason why a lot of millennials had kind of a “failure to launch” into the adult world or were very delayed in doing so: they refused to move out until they could immediately transition into maintaining the same lifestyle their parents gave them, instead of going out, grinding, struggling a bit, and building character in the process as had been done for generations before them.

"I'd say the American Left can re-learn a little bit more (healthy!) sadism."

So in other words, he wants the Weather Underground back. Got it.

No, Bob Chipman wants the KKK back. But under Democrat control and doing violent things to Republicans in the name of Progressivism.

It's shocking that, in another day or time, Chipman would be like the white trash KKK members in BlacKKKlansman. The only reason Chipman is a liberal, IMHO, is due to the fact that it was the "default" political vehicle of the era for getting power and in another time, another place, he would have been a KKK member or even Nazi if it was the default vehicle for political power where he grew up.

I have the idea in my head that if Bob went to an alternate universe where the Nazis put millions of white middle Americans into death camps instead of the people they went after OTL, he would lament that he comes from the universe where the Nazis are the bad guys.
