You're probably right about that, one of his Big Picture episodes analyzed one of his favorite 80s Transformers episodes and it was about some pacifist Autobot nobody cares about who found a peaceful meadow with animals and plants but then the Autobots and Decepticons fight in said meadow, utterly destroying it.

I get what the episode is going for, but Bob went into such detail about it. Like dude, it's an 80s cartoon meant to sell toys. This isn't really something worth raving about.

Yeah, back when I watched him he seemed incredibly dismissive of Breaking Bad. I remember him making a crack in his Godzilla review that Bryan Cranston became a more respected actor after he started wearing a funny hat. He made other dismissive comments about Breaking Bad, clearly showing he never watched it, but that one in particular stood out to me.

I'd like to see him actually take a crack at reviewing it just to see how wildly he misses the point.

China doesn't really want a pragmatic and stable future, they want a future where they and they alone dominate. They're a resource vacuum. They're building islands to extend their national borders and have made a show of military force several times. Japan is undoing decades of non-militarism because it knows China is eyeing them. This is going on throughout South East Asia, but naturally, in his little corner of the world, the bad guys from his favourite 80s action flicks look far, far more threatening.
