It's a politically correct way to scrap democracy. Technocracy would mean giving experts (either private sector or senior bureaucrats) huge amounts of power with reduced legislative oversight compared to today. After all, they are the experts, so their take must be better than a politician's-anyone who disagrees must be objectively wrong.
The thing Bob hasn't considered is that these experts might have a very different take on the "best" approach from him and might even propose things he hates. I am willing to bet that neither of these has even crossed his mind. Then we get into the extreme corruption that comes with being a powerful, unaccountable bureaucrat (plus who would appoint him/her in the first place, other than a politician?). It's the standard problem with any authoritarian system, with no checks then one shitty person can do much more damage.
tl,dr: MovieBlob could at least pretend he's not a fascist and probably has the 'tism

The main problem in this is what Bob wants is unfeasible (space ships capable of light speed, cities on Mars, food replicators) so even if the people in charge were as focussed on space as he is, they'd be smart enough to only go for what's achievable, like a space hotel or a research station.

I don't know about all y'all but this one of the most peak Bob things I think I've ever seen. Bobbert Chipman, the same guy who said " I want E V E R Y O N E responsible for stealing what may well end up having been a half a year of my life to to pay a *terrible* price, and I want to watch or collect" thinks that releasing his disposable media to China is somehow hurting the trump voters and the troglodytes who stole his rocket ships. Something that I also wanna point out is that the notification from the guy Bob tweeted is about FUCKING LIVE ACTION MULAN.
The flyover state will cry themselves to sleep tonight at the thought of China seeing FUCKING LIVE ACTION MULAN before them, if they even remembered that it was even a thing to begin with.
I checked and the guy is not a troll which makes this next part all the more funny. He also posted that the release dates for Avatar 2-5 and the ever popular UNTITLED STAR WARS have all been pushed back.
We should all see ourselves out like Bud Dwyer but, you know, with less purpose, impact, and meaning as him.

There's already rumors of Disney slashing the budgets for the supposed-upcoming Star Wars films because of the pandemic, but I don't want to sperg about SW on this thread.
Point is, Bob is going to have to experience a vastly changed Hollywood because of an pandemic and how his beloved experts, who caused the lockdown in the first place, are imposing their health guidelines for theaters whenever it's safe to open up.

Those Bob tweets where he exploded in response to the Shaun guy are legit schizoid posting, I have no idea what point he's trying to communicate. I would have blocked him or anyone else who responded to a post I made with such a full blown tism fit. It's moments like that where Bob comes off as mentally ill instead of "simply" being an argumentative, arrogant sorehead.
