Yer goofy lookin'!

I can imagine Bob was picked on a lot back in elementary and high school. However, if his attitude today is representative of his attitude back then, he probably got the shit kicked out of him because of his scummy attitude more than he'd care to admit or realize.
Shoot could you blame em? Imagine going to school with someone who constantly talked about how they were superior to you and everyone else. Even though they couldn't see their own feet, and walking between classes got them winded. Imagine being in FFA and haveing some fat jackass talk down to you because he believes your chosen profession is obsolete and makes you little more than an animal.

I seriously doubt any farm kids bullied Chipman (although I wouldn't blame them if they did). More, I suspect Chipman's understanding with rural life comes from what he's absorbed through television and has come to his own conclusions through that without actually having any substantial personal experience behind it. The same mindset where people look at a jock and think "oh, well he must take steroids and beat his girlfriend," or sees a gamer and thinks "oh, I bet he jerks off to child porn and is planning on shooting up his school." Y'know... Stereotypes.

Only reason Chipman is buttmad is because he doesn't want to admit that maybe his SUPERIOR FUTURE has some substantial flaws in it and no amount of pseudo-inteclltualism is going to resolve it. He's a lonely man-dumpling who doesn't want to admit that perhaps he and a number of his own beliefs are the enemy and instead looks for another scapegoat.

CWC has Da Twolls.
Wu has Gamergate.
Chipman has Everyone who has an opinion different than his.

Bob, I will take a stupid nice guy over a smart arsehole any day. And I'd take both of them rather than have to be within a 100 metre radius of you (partially because that's how far away you have to be from Bob without running into his fat).

It's enough to make you wonder what his attitude toward the mentally retarded or Down Syndrome people is like; if he has a Peter Singer-ish view of such things. It'd fit with the muh technocracy gibberish.

Also, a smart asshole is bad enough, but a stupid asshole who thinks he's smart is fucking unbearable.

Of all the Social Justice -isms Bob rants about, ableism is one he's been curiously quiet on. Probably because, as you say, he doesn't look favourably on disabled people.

Something Bob fails to realize: Outside of their particular skill sets, EVERYONE is a raging moron at EVERYTHING. At my college, there are plenty of nurse students who are incredibly smart at everything even tangentially related to medicine, but are complete and utter idiots when it comes to tech. I am great with tech and teaching people how to use it, but I can't tell a tendon from a ligament and have no fucking clue what all the names mean.

And people realize this. Most people understand when they've hit something outside their skillset. When people come up to me and ask for my help, they are unfailingly polite and act like they're being a giant inconvenience, even though helping them is literally my job.

What it all boils down to is stupidity is not a 24/7 condition like it used to be. Stupidity is what a person is inflicted with the moment they step outside their skills. The people who realize this are, indeed, nice "stupid" people.

There's nothing "stupid" about admitting your lack of expertise and going to someone who knows what they're doing.

Nope, not at all. I could have chosen my words better.

That said, I could tell you a tale of a few very stupid people I've met...that are still pretty nice. Intelligence and politeness have no correlation, despite what Bob wants to believe.

Now even CNN are too pro Trump and his supporters for Bob's tastes. :story:

What bothers me about people like Bob is they act like celebrities, famous scientists, business leaders or whoever who talk about matters outside their field of expertise still should be taken more seriously than say a random person on the street.

This fat Nazi just called anyone with Down's syndrome evil.

Most of them are actually pretty nice. Nicer than the gluttonous fascist Bob Chimpman by far.
I've mentioned before that Satanists have the same attitude, gonna mention it again. I had thought maybe he'd back off that position, but no, of course not. Underneath Bob's veneer of Nice Guyishness there seems to be no real heart at all. I try not to go that far with insults here but in this case it's not so much an insult as an increasingly uncomfortable fact.

I honestly think Bob has some kind of sociopath-type mental illness. If he just had occasional outbursts like this I'd guess :autism: but this has become a normal occurance, and he's malicious, he hates openly and gleefully. How low do you have to sink to have people casually observe you sound like a Satanic Hitler? At what point is the line crossed from "guy with a bad attitude" to "mentally ill megalomaniac ranting about how mentally ill people need to be removed from the population", cause I think we've crossed it.
