Subversion. Spergs like Bob know they can't compete with normal, well-adjusted people at their own level, so they have to twist and warp the world into one where they can compete - a world where laziness, snarkiness, sneakiness, and passive-aggressive bullshit are seen as virtuous and intelligent. There's also a demoralization element at play. Take a good-hearted, earnest, hardworking hero in a work of media, like Luke from Star Wars or Joel from TLOU and have the plot and characters shit all over them. Show them being humiliated and defeated. Show ugly, immoral characters getting the better of them. If you can make those awful characters unlikeable Mary Sues with unearned powers, all the better. This teaches any good, hardworking people that view the media, that good, hardworking people are losers who should get out of the way of their sneaky, underhanded, more intelligent betters.
There was a time when media had to at least try to be good, because it depended on ratings for its success, but at some point in time, the success of a show/movie became divorced from its ratings and tied to it's pushing of the SJW narrative, The people who push the SJW narrative are creatively bankrupt spergs like MovieBob.
