As I said Lovelock has been notoriously imprecise. Earth Scientists who flesh out his ideas came up with at least 5 varieties of "Gaia Hypotheses". The problem is that the weaker varieties are trivial and the stronger, more interesting varieties are either disproved or unsupported. For my money, Gaia does belong in science, by virtue of being able to generate scenarios that can be empirically proved or disproved -- but this is fringe science, and unless a theoretical breakthrough happens, its usefulness as a driver of scientific research is spent.

I don't. It's already bad enough to hear Bob trying to oversell something that isn't trying to be high art like Superhero stuff. Him talking about KH would be a headache to deal with. And keep in mind, not everyone who likes the franchise shares the same thoughts as the process as you just mentioned. I like KH. I know it can be a mess to follow. And it can get a bit too into it's own ass. But I do enjoy it for what it is.

He actually has a handful of tweets about it but it's unusual. Less of him actually liking the series and more similar to those weird takes on the Avengers or Justice League he's had where he doesn't see them as actual things in themselves and actually views them as a way for mega corporations to show off their conquests to consoomers.

Even made a trailer for his idea of a live action show which would feature the US military for some reason. His weird way of treating these series like skin-suits is bizarre.

Holy shit I am 3 minutes in to a 10 minute review and Bob has done nothing but post videos of himself and his brother reacting to Godzilla movies, even while speeding up his voice. And of course he immediately goes in to "we need to save theaters" after all that fucking filler.

I swear Bob has to coach himself to have more of a BASTAHN inflection on certain words. The way he only really replaces -er sounds with -ha sounds at the ends of sentences or thoughts seems super self conscious to me.

Bob also seems to actually care about the human characters in this, and even calls it a "good movie version" of a Transformers plot structure. Its the same movie, Bob. You can admit the vast majority of Godzilla movies have horrible human plots. You don't need to pretend the last one was a deep environmental allegory like you do in your next paragraph.
