One of the things I've learned from psychology and listening to people like Jordan Peterson is that if you can't understand the part of humanity that allowed people to become Nazis then you too will become just like the Nazis. Case in point: MovieBob.

The best thing about MovieBob is that, no matter how reprehensible his views are, he can't leave his basement to act on them.

He's really akin to just a LARPER who's role playing being some cultural critique on the internet, but who's only cutural knowlege stops with mass American television. For that matter film is considered one of the lowest and bourgeois forms of art, just akin to mass entertainment for the peasants; film and theater always was - even in Shakespeare's time, while he's recognized as a very talented writer today, in his time his plays were just considered lowbrow entertainment for the unsophisticated, akin to the Scary Movie series, and is actually filled with a lot of crass humor.

It's probably why his views are so reprehensible. He's cocooned himself so thoroughly that he's never forced to interact with real, physical human beings he disagrees with, and so feels completely free to write them off as subhuman wastes of flesh.

How would Bob react if Miyamoto had a stroke one day and decided it'd be a brilliant move to replace Mario with a teenage black lesbian who speaks in outdated hip-hop references and early 2000s internet memes? Would he say it's a move to the Superior Future or would he take offense from it changing something he likes?

The thing to keep in mind when you compare the relative earnings via Patreon and other crowd funding ventures of people like Bob, Jim Sterling and hbomberguy to other people you would consider normies (or alt right/light) is that SJW's aren't spreading their money nearly as far as other people.

Semi successful people with Bob's political opinions are few and far between and their fans jump at the opportunity to virtue signal when they get the chance.
