How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

I watched his movie reviews, but, quit back around 2010. Probably before the 20teens. I used to think his opinions weren't half bad until I started seeing his capeshit opinions. They weren't reviews as much as they were demands. If it didn't fit his preconceived views of what it should be, he would dismiss it.

"How dare it not be the thing I want it to be." Sort of mentality.
I used to eatch his stuff every week but his review of The Expendables first exposed me to how much of a vindictive ass he could be and then other vids on the Spartans in Halo and his belief that Magneto was right turned me right around on him. Funny thing was I tried to make a thread on the Escapist about this sort of thing only to get threatened by the mods which also caused me to completely abandon the site in response.
Wonder how much testosterone there is between all four of them.
Here's my first contact with Bob. I was a contrarian that didn't like Halo so him doing 5 mins of goldwins law won me over. Anyways, the honeymoon phase didn't last long when the movies he recommended were meh at best (in time) or he bungled the point of the film (Splice). Also when I watched Taken and thought that it would be the thing Bob would give two greasy thumbs up but instead he projected so many fucking Daddy Issues onto Liam Neeson I swore not to waste another minute on the fat fuck.

Seriously, go watch the Taken review. He is 1000% yelling, 'Fuck you Liam Chipman, you don't know everything!'.

But to the posters who were saying that Bob started being shit after GG you are mistaken:

-He said the Spartans in Halo were space nazis in 07
-He defended Other M because nintendo bootlicking and faux feminism in 2011
-He defended Bioware after the mass effect 3 ending debacle

He was always a corporate bootlicker with delusions if grandeur and subnormal intelligence. But he managed to hit 1 in 20 (maybe less). I blame the 2012 shift, everything became fake and gay afterwards.

Bob just became...more shit, if that makes any sense but do not assume he went from good to bad. He went from bad to utter mongoloid.
The Mass Effect 3 thing produced a bizarre analogy of his wherein he compared getting a game to buying a car and something, something the artist's wishes. The Other M saga also included him launching into several screeds against those who play FPS games, a precursor to how he'd handle Republicans/MAGA types in the future.

But you pretty much hit the nail on the head regarding Bobert. To tweak a quote from Big Pussy Bonpensiero "Bob was always a disturbed kid," GamerGate only brought out his inner demon to the forefront.

I remember watching the Pixels review, and when he mentioned HP Lovecraft, he said something along the lines of "apart from all the crazy antisemitism," (what is with soys and pointing out if something was racist/antisemitic? Do they think it gives them good journalistic points?) And not being a Lovecraft expert, i looked up if any of his works were particularly antisemitic or racist. And they weren't. And I never watched another moviebob video again.

(actually it was his autistic 500 words a minute way of speaking that rendered his videos unwatchable. Even Yatzhee is tiring to watch.)
I know I watched him a lot, but I just Autistically watched most of the Escapist in High School. Like nothing he made before or after. And frankly he was my least favorite. So I would skip him a lot of weeks if the topic didn't interest me. Then I found out about his twitter...

Anyway Lovecrafts problems with race are integral to his works. He is no malicious lynch the Darkies kinda guy. He was a paranoid sick human. And this manifested in his writings about other peoples and things just slightly outside of the normal man's bubble. Frankly, if you want to understand racism on an emotional level. Lovecraft does it well. Its obviously not everything to his writing, but I think you are fooling yourself and doing him a disservice by saying he isn't.

Bob would probably approve of the Canadian Book-Burnings of 4,000 texts and Tintin and Asterix comic/books because they had "outdated information" and did things like call indians "redskins" in French.

I mean thats true, but not what I'm saying. And I think its all well worth a read. Asterix, Tintin and Lovecraft

I got banned from escapist for making a thread asking what's the dumbest reason you got banned from a site for. Fuck that site. I had already stopped watching bob by then. Onky time I talked about an internet personality back then was asking if why people like jim sterling.

I'm listening to The Bolshoi's Sunday Morning and I can't help but remember of the humanoid piece of chewed-out Play-Doh.
I mean, it's a song about revolting against religion. Christianity, of course. All because the subject was made to wake up early and dress up well on Sunday mornings to attend mass and follow harmless doctrines such as "don't steal" and "don't make noise in the church."

In the Blob's case, he acquired a visceral hatred of all things God and religion for that same reason. All the crimes committed by the Catholic Church in ancient ages and its abuse scandals throughout the years only served to reinforce its bias. But primarily, you just know his reasons are as simple as being a lazy bastard.

And at least, as far as I know, Murray Head doesn't go around telling people how they are wrong for being religious and citing dubious sources such as "I attended a Christian school and attended Latin Mass."

Reassuringly, Bobby remains a broken cuckoo clock:

"Would" or "wouldn't", Bobby's sentence is equally incomprehensible.

Another thread, another conceptualization of "cooperation":

A bunch of deleted tweets later, Bobby announced his Will to Power over the Believers, indeed over everything in Nature:

Except he won't be able to do it on the space ship that he's captain of. Because the icky Republicans won't let it happen.

I'm pretty sure he'd only want to be captain in name. If he did get a ship, he'd be Zapp Brannigan, an idiot who likes to throw his weight around but completely useless in every area of his actual job description.
There is a fan theory that Zap Brannigan was once competent at his job, but the battle with the Killbots broke him mentally, turning him into the idiot we know today. Bob never had that level of competence to begin with.
The quote bug is fixed! Praise Null!

Someone would only subscribe to Bob's view here if, and only if, they held the belief that "the personal is political"- that politics is all there is in life. I guarantee that, if Leno hadn't said "no politics," Bob would've made a fuss if someone had made a politically incorrect joke on the show: "How DARE you allow someone to make fun of Alexandria Occasio-Cortez/Greta Thunberg/Hillary Clinton! Leno is LITERALLY supporting Nazi politics!"

Anybody else here that used to unironically watch Bob's videos?

I watched them in the early 2010's, and enjoyed them. Even back then he still seemed like an egotistical, over-opinionated dick who I wouldn't want to know in real life, but at least he kept it in the realm of opinions about movies and video games.

It was when Trump+Twitter came along that Bob became too intolerable for me.
I was in a similar boat, but was watching his old Escapist content around 2016. Didn't think it was too bad at the time, but I went out of my way to avoid any of his current-at-the-time content, since people said "his old stuff was tolerable". Then again, I was also watching Sargon unironically at the time as well, so maybe I just had bad taste (and probably still do).

I still wince thinking back to his "new-age religion" video, where he proposed everything to a comicbook pantheon to Haruhi Suzumiya. :neckbeard:Don't know how I didn't drop him then and there.

GOP is literally Al Queda:

Oklahoma City happened precisely because the government decided to go stomp on a few "right wing militia sh**heads" at Waco and Ruby Ridge, only to discover that heavy handed tactics like that bred resentment and motivate people to hit back. Clinton, for all his other flaws, was at least smart enough to see that and back down.

Though Bob is at least correct that if Clinton had doubled down, it's possible that there wouldn't be a GOP today, or indeed any organized political or social group of any true scale.

I think I'm one of the few hold outs that doesn't think Bob's autistic but this bizarre fixation on a magic and impossible future shakes my beliefs. This is, what, the second or third time he's lamented about not having a rocket ship gifted to him just because? Within a few days? That is a record for him. Of course he gets to lampshade it by framing it through complaining about MAGAchuds but it always goes back to being denied that superior future, as if any of us deserve that just by virtue of existing.

Issue 76 of the comic. Enjoy.

in what part of bob chipman broken brain he would fit into the superior future?
He gets the robot body because he has all the right ideas. He deserves it because, as a Thinker, he was denied his rightful place of honor and prestige by the big bad Believers.
