I think that the word salad is Bob's weird thought that the Japaneese think all men should look like twinks and its just us insecure round eyes that think a character who is defined as a fighter might look like he lifts weights.
Is that what he's trying to say? I'm lost most of the time now with Blob's ramblings and think I'm having a stroke when I read his bullshit. Just use your astounding japanese skills to ask someone on the SF staff, Blobbo.

And here comes the only kind of salad that gets close to Bob.

I forget where I saw it, but I remembered seeing him bitch about something in that vein a few years back. That's why I think that's what he meant.

I have no idea what he's even getting at. Reading it, and especially out loud, makes it almost seem like a pretty decent AI composed this, like sub 10 level Tay AI. It seems like he's trying to take a swipe at Americans? But Capcom is a Japanese company and they're the one kept increasing the roid level of all the male characters for a game that was always Japanese focused. The character designs are either impossibly built muscle men, ex. Kenshiro of Fist of the North Star or anyone from DBZ, or wispy, girly men that have more zippers and superfluous pieces on their clothes than hairs on their head, ex. Monster Hunter or the Final Fantasy series from 10 on. That's not including the LITERAL THOUSANDS OF DESIGNS IN BETWEEN OR BEYOND EITHER EXTREME.

No one, no matter where, thinks fucking Ryu out of all characters is the karate muscle monster (that is what Akuma is for), it boogles the mind to even try to see where Robert gets this shit from.

first, let's not even pretend that Robert knows anything about Street Figther and the satsui no hadou and the whole lore behind Ryu and shit, this has nothing to do with it.

And even if we buy this bullshit, why would the Japanese designers have some repressed self esteem crisis over a misinterpretation of a obvious character archetype.

I respectfully disagree and say the main reason that Venezuela, and in a more broader sense the rest of the world, hasn't broken into full out riots is that, unlike the US, they are not armed. That's why I believe there's such a big push to remove those pesky weapons and why Bob is all for everyone besides him to be disarmed. I encourage all fellow Bobologists to not be a Bob. Get yourself strapped and become somewhat proficient with your fire arm. Even if Bob is telling the truth about owning guns he also claims that he only goes about once a year to the range which is pathetic. Oh and don't be like this old Ralph or the other Ralph and throw away that right by fighting with the law.

Well, guns don't take away your fear of death you know, and as bad as venezuela is, people still can get by, even in poverty, in today's world, is much better than the complete misery that people lived in south America. It takes a lot more than that to push people into a desperate corner where they have to put their lives on the line.

Also, getting guns isn't the hardest thing to do, more so near the Colombian border.

The first thing people say when the calls for revolution are made is: "you first". Rebelion seems like it is a natural reaction to opression, but till the prospective of actual violence is made real, you can have all the guns and all the bravado you want, it doesn't mean squat, that is why this internet civil war talk is nothing but larp, as is everything on the internet really.

Yeah, I know I'm sounding like those douchebags edgelords who say: "you will only know your true self when you have a gun pointed at you" however, we are living in the longest peaceful period in human history, with unprecedented prosperity and vastly improved quality of life, even if you are in the more unprivileged places.

Taking note of that, well, what can I say? violence won't come as easily to people, it just won't, no one wants to die.

I might be wrong of course, but right now, I just don't see it happening.

It's almost like Bob thought of something that he thought was smart after having mama Chipman bring him his 5th Pabst, rushed it out for the world to see and didn't bother to think "do I know what I'm talking about?"

This is up there with Bob's more contemptible qualities. He's got this bizarre tendency of thinking something happened a certain way and just throwing his version of things out there as fact. You can read interviews with the designers from the Street Fighter 2 days who talk about *specifically* designing a character to connect with Americans. Here's what they came up with:

SF2-TWW-guile-art.jpg

I'm pretty sure Japanese designers deliberately gave this man American flag tattoos and wrote his story of avenging his dead friend killed by the game's boss character to cement his place as "default good guy" for American audiences. It's sort of the reason that all American interpretations of the work put Guile front and center of the narrative. Japanese iterations always place Ryu at the center because striving to be the best is a more compelling narrative in their culture.

Just... just a little bit of reading, man. Conversely, he could have said nothing at all. Both would have stopped him from exposing himself as the fraud he is.

Capcom was definitely going for a more international audience with SF 2. Ryu and Ken weren't even going to originally be in the game, and then only Ken was before they decided to include both.

I feel like adaptation of Street Fighter 2 tend to focus more on Guile (and to a lesser extent Chun Li and Cammy) because they have a more personal stake in fighting Shadaloo. In 2 especially, Ryu is just kind of there, fighting in a tournament.

I think the developers only really consider Ryu the "hero character" of 1, Alpha, and V. Guile is the hero of 2, Alex of 3, and 4 is kind of a mess, but Abel probably has the most actual plot importance if anyone ever cared to flesh out that plot.

Bob is definitely wrong about any "American reinterpretation of Ryu" though. The American adaptations of Ryu (the movie and cartoon) made him and Ken comic relief.

man I look at that nuclear hot galaxy smoothbrain take and go, "BITCH, did you even PLAY SF 2? SF2 Turbo? Super Street Fighter? ANY Street Fighter AT ALL?"

It would make way more sense for Bob to (incorrectly) assume what he assumed about Ryu, about Ken. And the sperg kinda simply forgot GUILE IS LIKE RIGHT FUCKING THERE. But nooooo, Bob is a smoothbrain crayon eater analyzing the blue curtains, as usual.

I like how Bob in past tweets is like "Yeah, I'm a smooth operator. I charmed ladies with my intellectual skills and book recommendations." but at the same time this fat nigga can't impress a washed-up alcoholic who prob would let you raw dog her for a handle of vodka and some youtube mentions... And every other woman on Twitter who interacts with him calls him a disgusting bigot pig.

I'm hoping that the Cinematic Universe bubble bursts soon, and studios start focusing more on standalone movies.
I agree. I miss stand-alone movies.

The only type of hero movies I really like are the standalone, stories where the main character has a goal or a mission and they have a beginning, a middle and end. No unnecessary baggage, no teasers, just a one and done.
Honestly, I'm even okay with sequels/trilogies! Something like what Sonic the Hedgehog is doing, where they tease a sequel with Tails. That's okay by me. But I do not, absolutely do not want, to watch a dozen or so unrelated movies to find out why Sonic the Hedgehog is suddenly driving forklifts with Kiryu Kazuma in the sequel.
The only time, I like sequels is if it leads to an endgame. The main character’s ultimate agenda or consequence. The last chapter in their story.

You see that wood floor above? Take a good look at that bad rabbit.

Because that wood floor is frequently violated by these motherfuckers below:

New or not, that wood has experienced more horror and shame than any kiwi. And, being wood, it will carry that horror, shame and stench on through the decades.
This is what progress looks like. Lol at those electric toothbrushes collecting their shit particles. A literal gas chamber that would make Adolf Eichmann blush.

This applies to all forms of media. I miss when certain media can stand on their own without all the universe, spin-offs, sequels and other media crap. When has the last (good) piece of media that released that did not have or require any form of baggage?

Bob doesn't think more than 15 minutes ahead.
You're giving Moviebob 897 seconds' too much credit here.

Moviebob may be the single slowest broken clock I know of; if a broken clock is correct twice per day, then a fully-functioning Moviebob is correct twice every Neptunian orbit.

Correct, positron.

Also, I don't understand why Moviebob includes "this website is free" in his rebuttal. What the hell does mentioning Twitter having no sign-up fee in this discussion?

"No one is telling the man, 'You can't hold a bigoted belief'," says Moviebob, a man who literally holds several bigoted beliefs. Ironic, ain't it?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't all of Moviebob's moral panics literally based on his own superstitions?

I'd be suprised if his physical sexual relationships go any further than his right hand.

Haha, Bob's finally admitting he has full-blown beetus. For a while there, he was trying to imply that he was still in a pre-diabetic state, but I guess he just couldn't stop gorging himself. Either that, or he was lying the whole time. Either's fine, I'm just gonna mock him for eating his way to disability. What a fat dumbass.
You know, I think DC, Disney and Marvel would have more success if they focused less on the heroics and gave us more variety on the stories and characters in their movies.

And by variety I don’t just mean diversity or gender, I mean in terms of genre and character-wise.

The 'Joker' movie made bank because it was basically the comic-book movie equivalent to a Manga. It had a beginning, middle and an end. There was no superfluous shit. You didn't need to understand Batman to get into it. Anyone could just watch it. There was no continuity, no excess baggage and no superheroes. Everything was self-contained. You just watched it and enjoy it. 'Joker' basically broke the superhero genre to its core.

People want these unique stories with no baggage. They want to start at chapter 1 and end at chapter 20 and then get something different.
The problem with Hollywood...

...okay, Hollywood has a lot of problems, the rampant pedophilia not being the least of these. Let me start over.

One of the problems with Hollywood is their insistence on chasing trends long after they've run out of steam, with no idea why something became popular in the first place. You'll notice that, aside from a couple possible instances like the Star Wars series, the concept of a cinematic universe really didn't take off until The Avengers. Man of Steel was initially just a reboot of the Superman series to keep the rights from reverting back to Siegel and Shuster's estates, and it was only post-Avengers that WB scrambled to create a cinematic universe from DC properties. And that's without getting into other aborted attempts like Universal's Dark Universe.

It's not really a surprise when you think about it. Hollywood is notoriously risk-averse, especially for anything with a substantial budget. If a movie flops, the studio's lost a lot of money, so they focus solely on safe bets, aiming to produce more of whatever's popular. Remember the initial popularity of The Walking Dead and subsequent zombie craze? It seemed like you couldn't go a month without another zombie movie in theaters, to the point that the market was oversaturated and the public burned out, though not before Hollywood kept beating the undead horse for a few more years. Now zombies are pretty rare again. You can insert your own joke here about how TWD keeps coming back to life for another season long after it should've been dead and buried.

To those of us on the outside looking in, it's incredibly short-sighted to always be chasing trends and never trying anything new. Once a concept has been rehashed and rebooted a hundred different ways, usually by untalented hacks, it loses all its luster and fails to entertain. It would be better to come up with something new so that you can start a trend instead of just chasing after scraps, but like I said, Hollywood is scared of a box office bomb, and there's no way of telling whether something will actually be a hit with audiences, let alone a blockbuster success.

Now, I might be overly optimistic about the habits of consoomers, but I do think the capeshit trend can't really last forever. The MCU has been going for over a decade now, and that's a lot of material to catch up on, made all the worse by Disney effectively insisting that you also need to watch all their shitty Disney+ shows as well. The barrier to entry is increasing with every production, and while dedicated consoomers will keep watching until the heat death of the universe, the average moviegoer might just decide to watch something that actually has an ending to it, especially if they never had much of an investment to begin with. A lot of the positive reactions to Phase 4 ring hollow to me, as though people are trying to convince themselves that they still care as much as they did when it was at its peak. Again, maybe I'm optimistic, but audiences are fickle, and what used to be all the rage can quickly become old news.

This was a lot of words, so I'll end by calling Bob a fat dumbass again.

I know two people IRL with type-2 beetus. (I actually know more than that but these are two examples for the purpose of comparison).

One of them got it in their late 60s/early 70s. It was a simple case of overeating. Not much of a drinker, that one.

The other, is a recovering alcoholic as well as an overeater, and got the beetus in their late 40s.

We know Bob loves him some booze and drinks regularly. Alcohol almost instantly turns to sugar in the body, and the strain it puts on the liver doesn't help at all, either. So it doesn't surprise me that the beetus struck film robert so soon. The fact that he hasn't fucking stopped drinking, like, at all, means he's not doing everything he can to counter the beetus.

BOB. Unless you wanna lose a foot or a retina, STOP FUCKING DRINKING. It won't matter how much Metformin or Onglyza you take, it can't mitigate the booze.

Now, Bob is a moron as always. However, I will say YellowFlash is an obnoxious knee-jerk reactionary faggot, who spouts more retarded shit than Trump simping ShortFatOtaku, so I take his bs about "Dis movie be woke, that's why it flopped" with enough salt for a whole salt-making industry. Hell, the movie might have flopped because nobody really heard about it, seriously this is the 1st time I ever hear the mention of Last Duel.
