How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

What Bob needs is that anti-grav belt worn by Baron Vladimir Harkonnen.
Shit, I already made the "Hello, Blobert, have you met my Gom Jabbar?" joke so...ummm...

“Chipman was supreme in that quality the ancients called "Angusgerbarremen -- which is the self-imposed delay between desire for bacon cheeseburgers and the ability to do cartwheels to reach them.”

Remember, like the Superior Future, the moon city bullshit only benefits Bob and not others. It doesn’t matter if making cities out of the moon will fuck up Earth and waste trillions of dollars, as long as Bob sees it and is happy, that’s all that matters.

That’s something I learn over the years on this thread. Bob’s politics and philosophies are all about himself and himself only.
The effort wasted to build a city on the moon would be better used to invent a series of space ports along the legrange points or to be put into the slow burn colonization of Mars or even that shithole Venus. For a 'thinker' who claims to fucking love science and watch sci-fi, he sure doesn't know the bare basics of how space habitation would work.

It's almost like he's a delusional retarded man who had a Saul at Damascus moment when he stared blankly at shitty 70s elevator ads at a defunct ride in Disney World or something.

PL, but I have family members who are.. not exactly Moviebob tier, but they're pretty close.

I can confirm that, for them, mandates and vaccine passports aren't a way of "protecting Our NHS™". They're a way of punishing "the unvaccinated" who won't take the Blessed Sacrament of Branch Covidianism.

Fox G. Green vs. Eugenics Bob (Archive of New Yorker article, about how something something is RACIST!!!)

Bobby's response is typical, with a slight twist that he somehow thinks Peter "Mayo" Coffin is behind this:

If a "random movie critic" gets to be part of the "reference pool" (of what exactly?), I can't see why "Mayo Peter" cannot.

AOC's right, you shouldn't be able to hold or trade stocks as a congressman because then you can just legislate in a way to help boost the price of the stocks you own. The only issue is what if you give your stocks to your spouse, siblings, child, etc., and they transfer back after your term? Doesn't mean it isn't worth considering.

For the life of me, I really don't get Bob's hateboner for Villeneuve. It's like his obsession with putting down Christopher Nolan. Both are accomplished directors with an eye for cinema and a desire to do more than just the basic blockbuster "turn your brain off and shovel popcorn down your throat" pablum. Their films might not be for everyone, but anyone who professes to have film criticism as a profession should at least be able to appreciate their works, on a technical level if nothing else.

Instead, Bob declares their respective bodies of work the domain of "filmbros," whatever the fuck that means. If I had to venture a guess, he's implying that there's a group of people out there who think that Nolan and/or Villeneuve are the deepest directors working today, and they're not as intelligent as other critics (like, say, Bob) who know better. Those poor simpletons! Alas, it is up to KinoRoberto to enlighten the masses (please ignore the 30 Wikipedia tabs he has open).

Thing is, I'd much rather have a "filmbro" than a Bob any day. Someone who's enthusiastic about what they like is way more pleasant to be around than someone who's trashing everything they don't. It's why channels like RLM and Drinker continue to grow while channels like Bob's stagnate and decline. Despite the former also dissing things they didn't like, they balance it out with plenty of positive content as well, and you can really feel their passion when discussing films they enjoyed. Bob, meanwhile, is an unrelenting spout of negativity; as seen most recently in his No Way Home review, even when he's trying to give a positive recommendation, he still can't help but frame it in his usual us vs. them mentality, acting hostile to anything that goes against his opinions. It's pretty damn sad.

On a side note, this is some great news for me. I loved reading Rendezvous with Rama when I was a kid, and the proposed film adaptation has been stuck in development hell for years now. After Dune, I have no doubt Villeneuve will be able to tackle this one as well. And if it turns out great, I'll enjoy it all the more knowing that Bob was wrong yet again.

First time I've ever cheered on doubleposting: This was an excellent idea to get around the quoting bug.
"(now) literal". The "now" implies he's using the bread as context and he's trying to stress he doesn't mean "literal" as in "figurative". Is Bob arguing with the gingerbread?
I'm afraid my counterargument will be more complex than repeating a phrase over and over again. I am sorry, I clearly lack the vision to convey my thoughts in mindless chants.

I have known disabled people.

I knew a blind guy who stopped working after his contract ended and tried to get support from the government so he could sit at home (and play games) all the time. He failed because they pointed out they had a whole bunch of employed blind guys and about the only assistance they needed was stuff like free Braille classes and a session with this placement firm that only works with handicapped people - which he refused. Instead he had a hissy fit and moved halfway across the country and back in with his parents.

I knew a one-armed guy who started at the bottom of an IT outfit as a phone monkey and worked up to assistant to a department manager - a right-hand man who didn't have one. (Was odd shaking hands with him that first time I met him. You do not realize how much you do with a specific hand until you use the other one.) While his typing speed is lower than mine, it's above most people who don't code or write correspondence for a living.

So, to summarize: Disabled people aren't disposable. But they aren't essential either. If you're compared against people with similar issues and you still fall short, it's not society or your handicap that's the problem, it's you.

So, he saw the tits before reading the text, huh?

"That requires far too much explanation" - only because you're too stupid to keep your mouth shut when it comes to cultures you don't understand.

No it doesn't, you blue-curtain analyzing crayon muncher. A tanuki (you can tell it's not meant to be a real raccoon dog because of the leaf) is a symbol of prosperity in Japan. Reason being they can turn leaves into money (and vice versa) and they themselves are obsessed with money. The reason his head's a coin purse is because it ups marketing and connects money to their name (come to Job Sense, we'll help you prosper!).

Side note: the tanuki is my favorite mythological animal. They know what's important in life: money, booze, and trolling retards.

Minor implementation issue. All kinks in the system will be ironed out once we start drone striking americans inside the national border.
Like all lefties, Bob thinks that having limited rules of engagement in a third world country was necessary but when it comes to battling domestic opposition we need to carpet bomb red states and engage in total war. They're telling you exactly who and what they are.

The fact that it is smugly coming from someone who looks like a literal subhuman inbred mongrel with dead retard mongoloid eyes makes it all the more infuriating, and only increases my desire to see his empty skull get caved in Tony Dogs style.

I've said many a times before, Bob is still in the child mentality of only the things he likes should be liked by other people. The fact that he believes this, and that said things he likes are lowest-common denominator cartoon products while being over the age of 40 is why he almost has 4500 pages of content.

Getting more classic or "hard" sci-fi films would be great, but I worry that any attempt to turn it into a new trend would just mean dumbing stuff down for the lowest common denominator. We've already seen this in the early aughts where one of Isamov's works got turned into a generic action flick, and then there was that horrible remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still.

Moviebob may have a point here. He'd rather forcefully depopulate the U.S. Midwest because they didn't vote for Führer Hillary.

If it is true that thinkers created eugenics... Moviebob would still be a believer even though Bob loves himself some eugenics.

You'd figure Ilhan Omar would be vehemently against Build Back "Better" because, last I knew, her religion forbade the consumption of pork.

Should anyone in government have that much money to invest in stocks. All jobs in U.S. politics should pay no more than minimum-wage, if you ask me.

This is why we hate Moviebob.
