Bob is just a fan of the Marvel women he jacks off to that he’ll never have a chance with in real life, so he substitutes that by white knighting them.
I don't think Blob's obesity is the issue here, fat guys aren't on the top of the food chain but he could still date someone without much trouble. It's his personality, he is above all a colossal asshole that loves to bully people, a quick peek at his Twitter shows that and he built himself a reputation of being an asshole with totalitarian genocidal views!
He's a supervillain who thinks he's a hero. Except, there's nothing super about him, more exceptional.
In a dark fiction movie Bob would be a perfect fit for some vigilante villain. For example, some batman inspired vigilantes that are just sadistic thugs with a veneer of noble goals, his narcissism and his rage fit this type of character like a glove. I can imagine "Hero" Bob and his group of thugs getting a beating from the Batman for being exactly what he fights against lol!
These guys are all trying to be film business analysts but then do all their business speculation based on whether or not they personally like something.
Well, that's where the lack of maturity fators in. Liking superhero movies isn't immature, indulging in them in detriment of everything else is very immature. Analyzing a film and stating your personal opinion without basing your entire review in it is still mature, many critics do this, and MovieBob type critics still exist even in prestigious environments (as an example, when they simply grade regular movies as "I really, really hated that movie!" and refuse to elaborate, something which is only passable with infamously bad movies like Movie 43) - a MovieBob type critique is one entirely based on personal opinions, politics or both, a crass display of immaturity, if you will!
About The Batman. I've seen people who said it's the most they've been excited for a movie in a long time.
Not because It's Batman and I must consoom, but because they think it looks legitimately great.
Precisely, that's what sets the line. I know it's not your point, but in addition to my other comments, this is the difference between a regular person and manbabies like Bob. The former enjoy entertainment in healthy, sane amounts while the latter have their lives revolve around it. Blob wears the identities of others as his own, just like a child does to fit in!
