Well, I can give an estimation based on what I know. For reference, I'll be basing this screenshot on my estimation of Bob's YT income.

For argument's sake, we'll say Bob's average view count is 20k.
Typically, a content creator gets $2 CPM. That means for every thousand views, they get two dollars. With an MCN, they usually make more, but Bob isn't with one, I'm pretty sure. Assuming that every viewer is watching without using ad block, that means Bob's average is about $40 a video. He usually released at least one video a week, sometimes two, let's call it one and a half over a year. That means he's making 78 videos a year. Times $40, he's making $3120 a year. Currently he's at $3397 a month, so times 12, that's $40,764 a year through patreon. Now, according to
Linkara, he makes about a dollar per video a year thanks to people rewatching his old content. For Bob, that would be, approximately, an extra $800.
All up, he's making about $45k a year... at best. Based on a tax calculator I found, someone with this income would walk away with $35,883, or roughly $3000 a month. And the average cost of rent for a 1 bedroom apartment in Lynn is $1700 a month, leaving Bob with $1300 for bills, groceries and his medical expenses, which with proper budgeting, could be lived off. But he's incapable of proper planning and self control, so now he's living with his mother.
And the saddest thing is that these numbers are actually pretty optimistic.
