I've read some of Nick Spencer's run and the man went throught great lenghts to undo the whole "one More Day" and "Sins Past", even if he had to make some shitty storyline about Harry making clones to spite his father and Mephisto fearing Peter and MJ's marriage because their offspring would defeat him in the future or some shit.
I mean, it was shit, but it was shit to just remove the whole bagage those horrible stories brought in a way to say "that how it was, and we will never speak of it again".
All that to just piece Spiderman back on his hey day, wise cracking hero with a red-hot wife.
And yet, seems like we are back to the good ol's miserable Peter Parker from the 2010's.
Who the fuck is Zeb Wells anyway? Is it against the law to just write basic bitch Spiderman comics?

I dropped Nick Spencer's run when he brought back Sin Eater. While I didn't get far enough to see where it went, it felt real dumb, and the original three issue story where the Sin Eater died is one of my favorite Spider-man arcs.
That arc was also the first one I read where it straight up implied that Peter and MJ were using his super powers to spice up their love life.
The whole trying to undo MJ and Peter is something hack writers seem to love, but all the fans hate, and I do not understand why they keep doing it. Also, until very recently, Marvel's longest running title with a female lead, was Spider-Girl, who has to cease to exist everytime they break up Pete and MJ.

First: Marvel did not create Peter Parker. Stan Lee and Steve Ditko did. Lee built Marvel on Spider-Man.
