Another day, another example of Bob forgetting that there was a time before the 70's.

Pretty much all mainstream politics and academia in the western world were nationalists, at least to some degree (at the absolute least they'd generally argue for the global dominance of western culture if not the culture of specific nations) from around the late 18th century to around the 1950's or so. Considering nationalism was basically only conceptualised into something meaningful and popular in the late 17th century or so that's a pretty good amount of time where nationalism was outright encouraged by all of Bob's precious "elites".

Also some of the most hardcore nationalists of the 19th and 20th century were people in countries that weren't independent at the time (e.g. Hungary, Croatia etc) and who'd have guessed that some of the most hardcore of those hardcore nationalists were artists, poets and philosophers, often to the extent of taking up arms for the cause.
Shit, German nationalism basically only became a thing in the early 19th Century because a load of academics and students started to think it would be a good idea for Germany to be one country rather than a bunch of separate ones.

This still holds true today with a good half of establishment politicians in Scotland ran on an overtly nationalist platform and a lot of high profile Scottish "cultural elite" are pro-independence.

So are white people priveleged? Or are white people actually not born with some innate privelege based on skin color and have to game the system...somehow. Also, these people are terrified of losing the leg up given by being born the "right"(read: white) color. So white privelege is something you are born with, but can be taken away...is there a belief in some method of taking away innate privileges or something? Think something like Amon's de-bending in Legend of Korra, but with white privilege instead of magical kung fu powers. (Minor autism here, but said character was also revealed to be a privileged magical kung fu person)

I just left that rant feeling confused...not confused in a "oh I never thought of it like that" way, just plain confused.

I've found that a near-universal trait of woke people is that however they view their hated enemy is nearly always themselves but unwoke. I used to follow this guy years ago, a little while after GamerGate completely broke his brain. This is exactly the same content, the same beliefs he wrote about 3 years ago. He doesn't seem to have changed a bit.

It's bizarre, because sports are a truly equal field where men of all colours compete and the winners are decided on their merits, and yet people like Bob Chipman dismiss them as not being part of the superior future for reasons I can only assume are to do with getting picked last for teams at school.
