I'd say that's going a bit too far when big movies are bringing in nearly ten times the gross profit of big games. Most of the exceptions to the rule aren't current hit games, but gradual money sinkholes like MMOs and old-timers like Space Invaders.

I never really took his thoughts seriously, but I honestly lost respect for Bob when he slammed down on FPS games. Sure, the mainstream communities are complete shit, but they have made their mark on gaming history with titles like Duke Nukem and Doom. You can't go wrong with that. Every type of game has affected the industry in one way or another.
