How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Was Captain N a DiC show? That explains literally everything wrong with it. DiC was single handedly the worst animation production company in history, and is tied only with Hannah Barbera for flooding television with the most low quality garbage

Yeah all of their programming sucked cock.

Yes, Captain N was a DiC show, and at least Hanna Barbera started out good before it got bad. DiC was just bad since day one.

Bob's pretty much Harvey Weinstein without the money & power isn't he?
But does he have the rap sheet of sexual assault, harassment, and intimidation like Weinstein?

this is the final boss of a Retro Game Con

at least DIC had somewhat better than Hanna Barbera

More like the final boss at the neckbeard convention

Well I think you have pinned down perfectly about Bob. It is mere projection for the reason why Bob hates neckbeards as he fits all the negative stereotypes associated with one. He is overweight, lives with his parents, has an unstable career, has a violent disposition, overindulges in pop-culture, stuck in the past, clingy and thirsty towards women he could never hope to score, and is ultimately pedantic about petty things in the grand scheme of things. Self-hatred going to manifest into true hatred is the operation of Bob as he has no reason to love himself deep down, so why should he love anyone else?

Inspector Gadget was cool, though.

Inspector Gadget was the hit that kept the company afloat, if it wasn’t for that they would have died much faster. I never liked it personally, but bob may call that misogyny or something for hating on a show where the little girl was the hero instead of the bumbling man who took the credit.

Go back to the original Yogi Bear cartoon. The one where he’s trying to escape the park, it’s awful both in animation quality and in writing. That pretty much set the pace for all of their forgettable shows. The only reason people remember them fondly is because they were the only cartoons on tv for decades, which lead to parents introducing them to their kids for generations.

I'm tempted to defend Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM, not Adventures of), which was slightly more sophisticated that DiC's Mario efforts, but I haven't watched the series in about a decade and my nostalgia blinders would be on if I tried. Plus, Sonic was the franchise that launched a new wave of furries and lolcows on an unsuspecting public, so there is that.

I will say that I laugh out loud when Bob tries to hold 80s cartoons as culturally important when shows like He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Thundercats, and the like were designed to sell toys after Kenner made off like bandits with Star Wars. There was an episode of the The Big Picture where he analyzed an episode of The Transformers for its environmental message. However, the truth is this: many of these scripts were rushed and the writers did not give a flying fuck about the product aside from the paycheque they had received from it. Donald Glut said as much.

For all his hatred of most things 90s. Children's entertainment was usually more sophisticated during that decade as evidenced by shows like Batman: The Animated Series and a fair chunk of WB Animation's other output. I mean, Animaniacs managed to sneak some adult humour under the radar and skewered the morality plays of the 80s with the "Wheel of Morality" segments. It was still a highly commercialized environment with adaptations a plenty, but the writers and animators cared more about their product than they did in previous decades.

For someone who hates the politics of Reagan/Bush Sr. era, Bob certainly loves the cultural zeitgeist of that era.

When I look at you, I think I just ate something I really shouldn't have.

I'm not sure what's gonna be a more miserable experience today, running my snowblower or watching Part 3 of this.

Regarding that first tweet, I'd like to point out that this is Vanessa Ferlito:

Bob, the only decision you will ever get to make regarding a woman like this is whether you use hand lotion or go to town dry.

He’s officially made a video bitching about BvS that’s longer than even the Ultimate Edition of BvS.

At this rate it is going to be longer than the extended cut trilogy of The Lord of the Rings. For fucks sake, unless you are talking about the behind the scenes problems of the film, which I bet there was alot of problems, then there is no reason to make it so long. Is brevity such a hard thing to ask for? Why invest all this time and effort into a series you aren't going to even make a dime on when you could achieve the same thing with a single 30 minute or less video?

He could have just read the entire script aloud and that would have been shorter.

Probably more entertaining too.

He has a grudge after Superman once called him fat and said that he wouldn't carry him. Supes then called the League over to laugh at him. You don't even want to know what Plastic Man said.
I still headcanon this as an actual event in the DCU. It'd be like a really bad supervillain origin that doesn't actually lead to anything.
