Robert thinks district courts are not federal courts and that only district courts in non-red states (like Wisconsin?) should be allowed to have trials:

Robert furiously backpedaling expressly calls for federal prosecution when state prosecution fails:

Oh, good, he understands the law about as well as he understands the female sex drive.

Oh good, he's got lots of opinions on this.

Claiming things are obvious grounds for appeal (by prosecutors, not a thing) and misconduct that aren't:

Robert says out loud that one of his goals is seeing more white people prosecuted rather than seeing less people prosecuted in general:

Attacking women:

Robert doesn't care. He knows one side is bad (the defense) and one side is good (the prosecution) and he thinks good should always be allowed to win.
One thing I've always found fascinating about Bob is how he thinks his opinion is worth something even when it's something that he has no substantial knowledge about.

He probably has strong opinions on learning Mandarin or on being an Olympic 100m runner. It's bizarre, but very interesting to observe.

This niche sub-sub-celeb culture of people like Bob who are """famous""" and who think that they should broadcast their opinions on everything is cancer. Sometimes, abstaining from saying something, or saying "I trust the specialists", is the wisest thing to do.

But of course, Bob wouldn't have this thread here if he understood that.

Everyone who opposes me is innately violent, justifying my calls for endless violence against them! THIS ONE WEIRD TRICK. (GQP HATES HIM)

The self-righteous smugness oozing from what can charitably called Bob's "philosophy" goes a long way toward explaining why even veteran Kiwis occasionally experience violent urges toward this rotten tub of guts.

He's venturing further into the deep end with each passing year.

In the beginning he had some hot takes on movies. Then came the game journalism years, when all he did was blindly praise Nintendo. For a brief time, he waded into economics. Then Gamergate and #MeToo happened, and he had some thoughts on that. The Mueller report comes out, and suddenly he becomes Patrick Henry.

At this point, it feels like I'm trying to watch TV in a bar while a loud drunk keeps commentating it in my ear.

His ideology has seriously deteriorated to the point here he's out in public babbling to people about how we need to end fucking Habeas Corpus.

This man is so far gone, but he thinks he's normal.

To be fair, the general level of legal education demonstrated on Twitter during the Rittenhouse trial isn't much better than this (and, in spots, it's actually much worse). Where Bob really goes off the deep end is with how declamatory he gets, as if he's delivering a wildly gesticulating speech from a Nuremburg stage -- and even more so with these quasi-religious statements about "the people who matter." Who would that be, Bob? And what happens to the people who don't matter? There are a lot of sinister implications in that, but so far he's managed to stay just careful enough (or sober enough) not to voice them explicitly.

>oh hey more discussion of the Rittenhouse trial
>I should have known better
Moviebob is almost indistinguishable from the average A&H poster. The only difference is that A&H posters are unintentionally funny (sometimes.)

Moviebob with a law degree? Its like a hypopotamus with a machine gun!

It's really amazing this guy is so pro-violence but at the same time you say "You and your brother are fat exceptional fucks and should get Covid" and he will instantly meltdown and cry harassment. Can't handle the tweets, but wants to see poor neighborhoods burn into flames, lol.
He actually called harassment when people criticized his "Cuties" take.

Double jeopardy includes similar charges, you oaf.
You can't try someone for murder, get an acquittal, then try them again for manslaughter when both those charges arise from the same set of facts.

The law doesn't let the state keep on trying until it gets the result it wants.
