Has Robert never talked to a real person? They constantly describe themselves as "moderate" to show how reasonable they are. I've heard literal Marxists describe themselves as a "moderate Democrat" before.

I actually like Jonah Goldberg, though I don't agree with him on everything certainly, but to call him the intellectual forefather of anything is just... well... wrong. Does Robert really believe that "whinging" about the media started in 1998 when Jonah Goldberg first started writing? L. Brent Bozell had already been in business for more than a decade by that point and I wouldn't even call HIM the founder.

Just force stop it you dummy.

According to this, that new Resident Evil movie is the first watchable movie in the series, and should please fans.

Obviously Bob is going to hate it for those same reasons.
Half of Bob’s review will be him attacking Resident Evil fans for being disappointed with the movie’s race swapping of Leon and Jill.

It's funny that of all of mobile Discord's UI problems that's the one he complains about. Not the ones that make it literally unusable unless you're some kind of terminally online faggot. (To be fair, maybe they've improved it but a year ago when I tried it, it was a complete mess.)

Also weird that he doesn't just use it on his computer which he claims has a "second screen" considering that would be a way better use of it than leaving Twitter open on it. (Especially since all his posts on Twitter are from his phone anyway.)

I used to be Goldberg's biggest fan so it pains me to see him go off the deep end.

Still, unlike Bobby I have a commitment to truth.

“We have seen the Fascisti in Italy and a number of clumsy imitations elsewhere, and we have seen the Russian Communist Party coming into existence to reinforce this idea…I am asking for a Liberal Fascisti, for enlightened Nazis…And do not let me leave you in the slightest doubt as to the scope and ambition of what I am putting before you…These new organizations are not merely organizations for the spread of defined opinions…the days of that sort of amateurism are over-they are organizations to replace the dilatory indecisiveness of democracy. The world is sick of parliamentary politics…The Fascist Party, to the best of its ability, is Italy now. The Communist Party, to the best of its ability, is Russia. Obviously the Fasicsts of Liberalism must carry out a parallel ambition on still a vaster scale…They must begin as a disciplined sect, but must end as the sustaining organization of a reconstituted mankind.”

I don't expect these kinds of idiots to actually read a book, but a key argument of the book was that liberals were abandoning their stated ideals for promoting something that resembled fascism while tracing a historical path for this weakness back to the original fascists and liberals of the era.

The main criticism of the book would be that he didn't spot where the major push for this movement would come from. IIRC he worried a lot of vegans and stuff like that. But then I guess few saw social justice fascism coming to dominate discourse on the Left except the early liberal critics of CRT. (And even those were skeptical it would go anywhere in academia.)

If he had written in the book in the last few years it would have been called something like Progressive Fascism.

This is amazing. This is just the finest example of the disconnect we've been documenting for so long. When you cease having routine contact with genuine humans, you start using yourself as a barometer of normal.

To use Bob's example, we're all familiar with a thermostat. If I walk that way, I'll see mine's set to 67 degrees. I guess I'd be center-left on the scale.

From Bob's perspective, that's moderate, and nobody's moderate. When a person's hot, he has to kick it all the way down to 60. When he's cold, he has to crank it to 80. You alternate every 20 minutes or so to feel comfortable, otherwise that's moderate. All those values between the poles are just decorative, I guess.

Now let's apply it to something more complex than just comfort. One guy over there thinks there should be no taxes. That other dude says taxes for everyone and everything, at maximum warp. According to Bob, no actual human person thinks that yes, some taxes are necessary at reasonable amounts. You're a deviant fucking circus freak if you think this. You heard me, Bob says *you're* the freak.

I always thought Pringles were fine, but I'll make sure to lose sleep loving or hating them because that's what normal people do.

The book in general is more an examination of the left's intellectual history (which they're always throwing away and trying to ignore for some reason...) than looking forward.

There is some entertainment in the paperback's rerelease and it's examination of Barak Obama's presidency - which did far more of what Trump was accused of.

I've always liked the movies even though there are tons of issues.

Unpopular and autistic I know. It's weird too. It's that one series I like and just ignore all that's wrong with it. Even the horrendous slow motion scenes.

Pertinent question: Given Moviebob's general disdain toward states that didn't vote for Führer Hillary and Fuckwit in Chief Biden, why would Bob be sharing a photo of a well-stocked turkey freezer from a red state? Jealousy? Hypocrisy? Blue district?

I'm perfectly fine with support of the statement that black lives matter. They do matter.

When people express their support of the Black LIves [Don't Really] Matter "charitable organization", that's crossing the line. All the BL[DR]M organization does is cherry-pick which black lives to prop up (most commonly those guilty of varying criminal acts) as martyrs for a cause; BL[DR]M has literally done between jack and squat to actually improve the quality of life withing black-majority communities since its 2013 inception.

I'm not vaccinated (but, as a disclaimer, I've yet to be tested for COVID-19). The blame belongs on those who developed the Coof and transmitted it from China.

(Of course, if Moviebob still wants to play the "Trump killed 400,000 U.S. citizens" bullshit, then he should be willing to say "Biden is responsible for each and every Covid-related death since Jan. 20, 2021". Fair is fair, right?)

The Economist calculated that $10.6 billion was donated to BLM related causes. Yet nobody can say what it's accomplished other than to buy that one founder a couple houses and filter some of it through the Democratic Party. Lots of academic and consulting fraud has been propped up in the name of diversity.

BLM itself had already fallen into infighting between all the chapters before six months were out, here's one:
1637640284050.png

You still have people fighting over who counts as BLM, most recently with them trying to write off that one group that became anti-vax. But like with ANTIFA and CRT, the media and its associates have been trying to nebulize BLM into both meaning nothing and everything depending on situational positions. Insisting there's no agenda other than BLACK LIVES MATTER while declaring if you oppose an agenda item that does get produced in the name that you're opposed to the very concept of black lives mattering.

Abolish The Police became Defund The Police became an actual increase in federal funding for police and most state and localities are headed in the same direction no matter what they did briefly in 2020.

There's no accountability for it because they successfully walled off any and all criticism of it as white supremacist so you're just supposed to look the other way as almost $11 billion was hoovered up into nowhere by who knows who did who knows what with it. Meanwhile the NAACP President says the Rittenhouse trial was worse than Emmitt Till trial and the entire social justice left just spent a week plus crying about the need for a carceral state, overzealous prosecution, elimination of self defense, suspension of constitutional rights, etc. all to put one white person in prison as a form of symbolic racial justice.

This post will mention MovieBob in relation to the amount of thought he has put into any of these issues.

Smoothbrain crayon-eating blue curtain analyzers like bob and his angels and senpais don't like "moderates" because "moderates" don't lead they way to the soopeeryah fyootchah/social justice/whatever, and in not being as zealous on issues as a far leftist, means they literally and ackshually hold back Bob's long-yearned-for-and-totally-deserved Mario-shka brain, robot body, moon-wheat, and the long-awaited gassing of the mayonnaise CHUD ghouls in minecraft.

My recollection is dim but that reminds me of something... some post-WW2 intellectual writing up a list of "traits of fascism" to make a nice little score-based warning system for use should any new Nazis crop up. Some years later he found that the leftist students at his university were - by his own metric - irredeemably fascist. (The problem was he'd made not a Nazi detector as he thought but a general authoritarian detector. I suppose you could argue he did make a Nazi detector but failed to see the shape of things at the tip of the horseshoe.) Damn it, I wish I could remember his name.

Not to defend Bob, but those "fascism detectors" are almost invariably bullshit, telling you more about what the author hates and wants stigmatized as opposed to actual historical fascism. This is due in no small part to the authors being invariably academic shitlibs who feel obliged to come up with tortured reasoning as to why the USSR wasn't ackshully fascist despite being almost a mirror image of Hitler's Germany (but worse.)

Orwell had the last word on the uselessness of the word fascist, and I'd have trouble making the comparison with Bob if not for his infamous eugenics tweet.
