Oh it's not just that. He thinks that being validated means that he's right, and furthermore that he is changing the world somehow for the furtherance of robot bodies and lunar wheat.

Without a doubt in my mind he's read it. He was given a digital restraining order when Lindsay called him out and unlike a certain other gunt he knows not to cross those lines. Lindsay's problems with Bob were probably legion. The dehumanization thing is incredibly distasteful and damaging to channel growth. Bob has this uncanny ability to think that he's more smart and more right than anyone else and will pick the most obnoxious fights possible because of it. I keep bringing it up because it will never not leave me flummoxed but he called a woke, black, black activist a racist like Rush Limbaugh directly because the black activist thought slightly differently than Bob on how to combat racism. Then there's the times where people like Shaun, from the former Shaun&Jen, and hBomberGuy told Bob to shut up when Bob sealioned into their tweet threads and shat up the place. THEN there's Bob's weird horniness and sexism. I've talked to people who claim to be women who find that to be extremely off putting to flat out disgusting. I think it's because Bob has this uncanny ability to make human sex and sexuality, which are beautiful and wonderful gifts from God, horrific and awkward. Any one of these things would be enough to make anyone wanna distance themselves from the Lord of Lynn.

I really think it all has to do with him not liking his DC adaptations. You see, Bob is what you’d call a Silver Age purist: he believes that that period of comics is the pinnacle of the medium and that all adaptations should strive to recreate it tonally. Hence, his massive hard-on for the MCU. Zack Snyder’s DC movies, on the other hand, are more influenced by the Modern Age of comics (also known as the Dark Age or Iron Age), which Bob sees as heretical. So we see him lash out at those movies for failing to live up to his autistic standards.

I think he wants it both ways. As others here have said.

The spectacle of Silver Age heroes fighting alien Sasquatches from Saturn is great fodder for a popcorn flick

But he also wants social reverence for Cape movies, wants them to be held up as deep and meaningful and full of nuanced political commentary.

Dark stuff like Joker gets those reactions but since its gritty and not lighthearted Flying Monkey Man CGI fights? Bob sees them as stealing his goofy heroes glory...

His fundamental idea of the perfect capeshit film is flamboyant heroes being the crap out of space monsters in overwrought SFX arenas, played dead stragith, and hailed as the most important movie ever by all and sundry, critics, audience, people living under rocks and the space monsters too.

But that's fundamentally like mixing oil and water and since that won't happen he will forever be angry that even the BEST superhero film is falling short in his eye because the plebes don't think the Eternals is deep or Joker just a flimsy incel propaganda piece.

TL : DR - Bob's idea of harmony is chocolate cake with gravy.... two mutually pleasing things forced to come together in a way that destroys both.

If a Silver Age Purist he would had hated Avengers 2012 because of the Ultimates influences and there being no Ant-Man or Wasp.
