I think in Abram's case it was because they threw out some initial treatments that George wrote completely, since he apparently had a loose sort of trilogy guideline set for any successors to crack at.The essay was fine! I have no strong feelings about Filoni's work or the recent TV shows which I have not watched anyway. I was more interested to pointing to why Filoni gets more of a pass than the filmmakers have. I know some of it is simply because he has more of Lucas' blessing (even if solely by implication) than Abrams ever got. Lucas sorta went out of his way to express his displeasure in the latter case.
He had a lot of those, but this one was based on around the time of the buy out. And Kennedy and Abrams yeeted it and the writer who made the full script for TFA out the window.
So that is likely why George hates them a lot more.
