I found myself rolling my eyes when he began deleting threads that denounced Bob and whatever brought up his unpleasant behavior. Shamus is naive if he thinks this was a result of solely Twitter.

No, this rage and resentment were already there. But he didn't have a platform to voice those dark thoughts and allow the delusion to go forth. It was the growth of his channel, the gathering of the Fandumb, and how he made waves with Stern along with TDS and GamerGate that defined who he was and took down any filters whatsoever.

Musk has some morally dubious dealings, like with Cobalt mining sourcing in the Congo, which envoles slave labor. Heard something about them trying to switch to cobalt-free batteries, but some industries are simply plagued with slave labor so it might not be an intentional play of his, but I must admit that I am not very knowledgeable in the subject. But most of the criticism I see targeted towards Musk is about his immature antics (which are simply theatrics, you don't become the richest man on Earth by being a retard) and his long standing feud with the press. Others hate Musk simply because he's a billionaire, others hate him for his anti-Union stances at his companies. It's complicated!

Bezos is also obsessively hated, there is plenty of room for legitimate criticism about him but I often see frankly childish points, like with people mocking his choices of attire, let the man have some fun! This crosses into MovieBob territory!

The problem with this change is that it has to begin with Bob climbing down from his Ivory Tower and admitting he has problems. I would have some respect for him if he decided to try and humble himself down to becoming a nicer person, it would be both a beginning and a major step, but he won't do that.
