Bob manages to be a great educator, but not in the way that he thinks. Instead of learning directly from him, someone will inevitably come along when he says something absolutely moronic and give the correct answer. I've learned quite a lot from Bob's thread, and none of it from Bob himself.
He really is Dunning-Kruger personified, like many cows on the farms. He tries to mask it with the occasional bout of self-deprecation ("I'm not even
that smart, everyone else around me is just that dumb

"), but I'm convinced he genuinely believes himself to be an unrecognized genius. That's why you see him give an opinion on literally anything and everything, when he isn't frantically scouring Wikipedia for an obscure factoid that he can use to impress the proles (or so he believes, anyway). He wants to keep up the appearance of being a brilliant Thinker, and he does it in the only way he can: a sheer volume of word vomit.
Bobby is the kind of guy who thinks that more and bigger words means smarter talk, the kind that made fun of Trump for speaking at a "third-grade level," completely unaware that that was why his speech was so effective. If you can't get your point across, then all those words are nothing but meaningless fluff. That pretty much sums up Bob's body of work: meaningless fluff.
