The OT were some of the first movies I remember watching and falling in love with as a kid. I would love some good Star Wars, but shoveling more and more of it out has yet to fix any of the franchise's glaring issues.

The fact that Ron DeSantis is going after tenure in academia is, in all honesty, making him more appealing to me as a candidate for America's highest office.

I'm guessing that Bob hasn't been paying attention to the Resident Evil fandom much at all, because he would be completely wrong in thinking that Resident Evil fans weren't pretty mad about all the live action Resident Evil film content released to date. The studio just decided to deflect criticism of "yet another bad Resident Evil live action project," by pretending it's about racism this time. To be honest, I think it might be better to just watch the Italian and Italian-American zombie movies that inspired Resident Evil than expect faithful Resident Evil live action movies or TV shows at this point. And Netflix adaptations are a meme at this point, no matter what they are making.
