These people are so dumb...

Going by Pew (the least annoying website I picked from) in 2019 there were 107.8 MILLION workers in the service industry. Checking worldometers.info, COVID deaths in USA since then were 1.04 million.

That means even if we assume Bobby is right, and ALL the cough deaths were service workers, that's only 0.965% of the workforce dead. Or if all else being equal, there would still be 106.76 million service workers in the USA. In other words: not an answer to the man's question.

Not only is Bob stupid and incomprehensible, his incomprehensibility and stupidity make him a turbo-hypocrite as he calls others stupid, and strawmans the SHIT out of their arguments when they call him out on his bullshit. Too bad that one guy blocked Bob because I would have LOVED to have seen Blob justify his take on the Scorsese movie Silence that he thought was a "miss". Holy shit, he may have "watched" the movie, but he sure as shit reviewed it like someone who either hadn't watched it, or didn't understand it. Since Bob claims he DID watch it (in order to review it), posting that he had indeed, watched and reviewed it, and having THAT take, isn't the "gotcha!" he thinks it is.
@Koby_Fish, please explain how Bob's take on Silence is dumb. Not that I doubt you, I just love seeing his stupidity broken down in autistic detail.

Not having seen the movie, I was relying on the dude that blocked Bob because of Bob's brain-dead take that I didn't even have to see the movie to know it's Bob and of course a take like that on a SCORSESE movie is going to be galaxy smooth-brained. I'd have to actually watch it first, so at some point I will do so when I can find it and then watch Bob's idiotic review and let you know. However, I have seen bits and pieces on youtube (like Silence: Religious debate), and already I can tell the reason Bob isn't fond of this movie is the religious overtones (and undertones), so of course he'd have a brain-dead take about it as a man of the Soopeeryah Fyootchah, where there is no god and somehow "immortal consciousnesses" can be uploaded to Mario-shka brains in Ghost in the Shell Standalone Complex Bodies so he can bing bing wahoo forever.

When Bob reappears in your dreams, tell him the MCU is subpar and Lindsay Ellis will never love him. The force of his butthurt should ripple through the dreamscape hard enough for the real Bob to feel it in his dreams.
Nah, he's already been told those and has dismissed those facts as mayoghoul lies. Instead, summon the Captain Lou Mario to tell him what a disappointing failure he is.

Speaking of Bob and Mario, I uploaded Lordkat's podcast where he and his friends discover Bob's book.

Bob also talked a bit, and from what I can tell made it up wholecloth, about how Trump's Attorney General Bill Barr was a CIA plant that had something to do with Epstein.
First we had deep throat. Now we have deep thunk.
View attachment 1405198

I'm not discrediting that there might be shenanigans afoot regarding ANYTHING around Epstein. I just wanna point out that was, and still is, all for calling anyone a kook who thought there might be some shady shit going on until he found an angle to go after Barr and by proxy Trump. I do like how he is saying the most basic bitch stuff ever, "the deep state runs deep and will do what they can to stay there" like it's some sort of epiphany.

Reactions: Koby_Fish and Flexo
Something that occurred to me is Bob's squealing about how intelligence is the only virtue stems from his unwavering belief that an intelligent person can only make the correct decision. Relativism aside (what is "correct" may vary from person to person), it ignores the fact that intelligent people can, in fact, be incorrect and make an objectively wrong decision. Two examples, both in the financial business:

First, the now-defunct hedge fund Long-Term Capital Management (LTCM). LTCM was a hedge fund that began in the early '90s, and within a few years had over $100 billion in funds (or over $179 billion today.) Now, LTCM was not started and headed by trust find babies with no experience, but by economists, college professors (from Harvard, MIT, and Stanford, to name a few places, and I believe a couple had Nobel prizes), and professional stock traders. These people were the cream of the crop when it came to a business like this. Yet, by 1998, LTCM was in deep financial trouble, and by early 2000 it had been ignominiously dissolved. What happened? Simply put, the fund invested in high-risk markets without a plan, and were blindsided when those markets (namely Russia and Asia) collapsed. The story was recorded in a book appropriately titled "When Genius Failed."

The next example is Enron, an energy company whose increasing debt and failed projects were covered up by management, increasingly desperate to present the façade of a functioning company to increasingly suspicious shareholders. These cover-ups included accounting tricks, outright destruction of evidence, and deliberately misleading those members of management who interacted with shareholders. When Enron finally collapsed and the evidence of wrongdoing was presented, it shocked the world, as Enron was, at least initially, considered both profitable and competently managed. This story has been chronicled in the ironically titled "The Smartest Guys in the Room."

While I could go on, I think my point is clear. Intelligence does not mean you are objectively correct all the time. For dolts like Bob, though, intelligence is like magic: it can do anything.

Underscoring a very simple reality that Bob has never actually experienced being intelligent. Actually intelligent people don't just have the capacity to be incorrect, they have the capacity to more incorrect than a lesser mind could ever be, not having the ability to ever think of a given question in the first place to be able to get it wrong.

Bob's ironclad belief in the completely unfalsifiable nature of his worldview is your surefire sign that there is nothing actually happening in his brain.

I couldn't care less about the MCU one way or the other. But I am rooting for it to collapse, if only to see Bob's mind slowly crack.
Optimistic post:

I feel like a lot of producers, directors, and actors would been extremely smug about the MCU’s potential collapse since now they don’t have to worry about it drying up other studio’s finances and make their own movies without the MCU.

Between that and WB foolishly sticking with Ezra Miller for the Flash, maybe the superhero may finally hit a brick wall.

Koby Fish said:
But yeah, no, Bob i'm pretty sure doesn't comprehend diegetic and what it actually means. Otherwise he would have said non-diegetic.
Now it almost occurred to me what Bobby meant by "diegetic ways". He meant to say that the director signals to the audience through various ways that this shit is not to be taken seriously. These signals are real occurrences to the characters (hence the abuse), yet the significance eluded them. So, the word Bobby should have used is ironic -- but then this is a prole word not an Elite word!

What is the worst-looking MCU film ever? The answer is always "the next one".

Don't forget that the crayon eating retard that he is assumes that smart people tend to do what he sees in his mind as good, even though an active mind gone bad can be perhaps the most creatively destructive thing ever. It takes a certain genius after all to figure out the most painful way to torture someone to death, or to organize an industrial scale genocide, or to murder people and get away with it.

But then this is Brainless Bobby. He is mechanically and mentally unable to understand nuance at all. Smart equal good, and dumb equal evil, and those who disagree with his uneducated and stupid takes are all dumb and evil.

You have to understand that what Bobby means by "intelligence" is something that crudely resembles what normal people mean by "moral compass". Bobby considers Morality, as normal people understands it, not as a virtue but a mere "tool". Instead of being what that guides a person to make laudable decisions that benefit the world most, conventional morality, according to Bobby, is merely a way to come up with post-hoc justifications, or arguments to convince others people.

With morality so demoted, "intelligence" jumps in to fill the void. Of course our pea-brained Bobby cannot hope to comprehend the complexity of moral arguments -- or for that matter, the complexity of real life. He follows the logic of capeshit and Saturday morning cartoons: the one who have the most power wins at last. If you have a lot of "intelligence" (read: your moral compass is hypercharged with Asgard thunder), then you cannot help but make the most correct decisions every time.

It is just two characters talking in an casual diner, then walk to the counter to pay the bill, then walk across the street and enter a bank. It is nothing to speak of even if live-action.
May I pause and preach to the choir a bit? I want to (re?)state how much I loathe these morons who focus on "One unbroken shot!"

One shot isn't intrinsically good and idiots do not understand this. They heard someone marvel about an unbroken shot and decided that was all it took to be amazing. Well, let me go outside and record eight unbroken hours of grass growing and I guess I'm better than Spielberg, Hitchcock, and Coppola combined because none of them managed that.

There are times when unbroken shots are impressive, where there's either many complex actions going on (a real-life Rube Goldberg device is done in one unbroken shot otherwise it's obvious it didn't work right - same with those fancy domino setups) or a lot of people interacting or there's something that shouldn't be possible. (Like one film, I forget which, where the establishing opening-credits aerial panorama seamlessly "flies" indoors to capture the opening dialogue. I'm told it was done by strapping the cameraman and his steadying rig into a harness dangling under a helicopter so he could record the aerial shots and then land, quickly disconnect, and walk indoors without breaking the shot.) In every situation the thing that impresses is not the one unbroken shot per se, it's that covering edits weren't needed to put two takes together - everything worked perfectly in one shot, which clearly took a lot of effort and skill to pull off.

But in CGI? Please! You replay the scene (in low-quality mode) repeatedly on a workstation until it's perfect, then toss the exact same data file at the render farm for the full 4K spectacle. There was a thousand edits in a thousand takes before that scene was crystalized and then created as "one unbroken shot".

Which of course, is severe projection because he's such a coomer that he rubs one out to unmasked Mileena (EW),
Haha, I remember someone opining that the change around 2015(?) where she went from having Tarkatan ear-to-ear teeth to having a human mouth with fangy cheekholes was less to make lip synch easier and more to make her look capable of fellatio.

The Ptolemaic Ideal is like the idea of the Platonic Ideal but for complete retards.
I guess you could say "Ptolemaic Ideal" is the Platonic Ideal of attempting to sound smart and failing in every way possible.

(On second thought, you can't. I'm sure Bob will outdo it and you can't outdo an ideal.)

I decided just to see what an intro to Agojie said.
This unusual emergence of an all-female military regiment was the result of Dahomey's male population facing high casualties in frequent warfare with neighboring West African states, as well as Dahomey being forced to annually give male slaves to the Oyo Empire. The lack of men likely led the kings of Dahomey to recruit women into the army.
Hm. I wonder if slavery will be in the film? Well how did they do in battle?
The Amazons participated in one major battle: Cotonou, where thousands of Dahomey (including many Amazons) charged the French lines and engaged the defenders in hand-to-hand combat. Despite the compliments given to them by the Europeans, the Amazons were decisively crushed, with several hundred Dahomey troops being gunned down while reportedly 129 Dahomey were killed in melee combat within the French lines.
LOL. And you can kind of tell by the extensive section under "combat and structure" wikipedia was really slobbering over these girls and all but making them out to be trans pioneers. And they still have to admit it was a joke of a combat unit.

MovieBob update, July 4th 2022.

The video is too large (plus it's just him talking with his facecam turned on) so here's a webm of the audio. I have the full video downloaded so if you need it I have it.

TL;DL:

-MovieBob is working on the Flashpoint video. The production is troubling as the controversy is ongoing and Bob is making sure he's getting Erza Miller's pronouns correct.
-Bob got COVID-19
-Bob's admits his Patreon numbers are down and so will "remaster" his old GameOverthinker videos to compensate, expect to see them soon.

The next part of the update video is Bob discussing future movie releases, he goes back-and-forth these following topics:
-Flashpoint
-The new Black Adam movie
-The leaked Supergirl movie images
-The Zack Snyder cut of Justice league

The last third of this video veers into Bob's usual political ranting, such discussion topics includes Republicans, Groomers, and Libs of Tik Tok.

Notable MovieBob political spergings:
-Bob compares Transgender Storytimes to Ms. Doubtfire, arguing the former is much more wholesome like the latter.
-Bob claims the Erza Miller controversy has made surprisingly slim appearances in right wing media circles, so Bob posits this might be more of a nontreversy than public opinion might think.

Why does Bobby want to "shovel" so many minorities I wonder...

(I really don't, it just never stops being funny to me that Bob has this exotic view of other nations assuming they must always agree or even be "ahead" of him. That they might actually have more in common with his backwards enemies never clicks in his head.)

OK Bob, what is the "grown-up take" on Randomguy98's comment, then?
Never mind poor writing? Grown ups ignore it for the greater good or some bullshit? Is this a dobsonesque "Don't criticize the writing of x, it's already been made and people aren't going to go back and change it!" moment for Bob?
I would have thought the "matured" mindset would be that you can enjoy something while recognizing it has flaws, sometimes major ones.
