The OP being as long as it is, I'm not looking forward to further expanding it, but if you think there is something extremely important about Bob that I have omitted, please let me know.

Why a New OP?
Two reasons. First is of course to commemorate this thread’s 5000-page milestone.
Second, the old write-ups do not adequately cover Bob’s catastrophic mental breakdown after the 2016 US Presidential Election. It is no exaggeration that Donald Trump’s victory defines today’s Bob, that everything he says and does is either directly or indirectly a reaction against Trump. This thread was started on 21 Nov 2014, but the next two years only added 160 pages to it. Then came 9 November 2016, when the thread exploded, gaining 4800+ pages in less than 6 years.
Robert Lewis “Bob” Chipman was born on 20 February 1981. He was among the early adopters of Youtube, making video reviews of popcorn movies and commenting on “gamer culture”, often wearing garish, laughable costumes. For a while he was a contributor of such Youtube channels as The Escapist and Screwattack, and it must be at that time that Bob made acquaintance with his favorite “colleague” Lindsay Ellis. He rose to notoriety during 2012’s “Gamergate” fiasco, where he defended the honor of serial adulteress Zoe Quinn. “Gamergate” is ancient history, of no concern to anyone even though Bob continues to evoke it when the weather is especially rough (such as when Florida revoked Disney’s tax privileges, Bob blamed Governor DeSantis for staffing the State’s government with ex-Gamergaters). For Bob’s various misadventures around that time, I refer you to the excellent exposé by Done (Neural), as well as his entry in Encyclopedia Dramatica (if it is online).
Three relics of his early period, however, will always be of interest. The first is Bob’s magnum opus, Super Mario Bros 3: Brick By Brick (epub, pdf), a bizarre combination of autobiography and game walkthrough which is likely unique in literature. From this “book”, we learn how Bob used to bully kids weaker than him (which makes his anti-bullying stance hollow), and how he skipped his grandma’s funeral to install an air-con at home.
This is how much Bob venerates Super Mario Bros 3:
The second is his video “Building a Better Gamer”. Bob criticizes gamers for their poor physical fitness, cultural myopia, defensiveness towards criticism, and inability to conduct themselves in public – descriptions that all apply rightly to Bob himself, and sure enough he doesn’t follow the advice he gives others. You can bet he doesn’t read a single author out of the long list that scrolls at 11”20’ of that video.
The third document of interest – although as a second-hand account its veracity is questioned – is the testimony of Bob’s one-time friend “James”. The two met in a game-related chat around the late 00s or early 10s. James thought Bob lost his mind when his grandma and dog died. Since then he was dead set that the world was against him; he even worried about his own mortality. In compensation he developed an elaborate fantasy about Nintendo. In a dream Bob saw Shigeru Miyamoto, director of Nintendo, inside his home, resurrected his dog, and entrusted Bob with a magic sword and a mission – to protect the children of the world against evil. This was reportedly the time when Bob started raving about MKUltra and how Activision caused 9/11.
Bob is forever on-line; people who track his Twitter output could not manage to determine his bedtime (my best guess is 4am to around 2pm, Boston Time). User @your stupid did a corpus analysis of Bob’s tweets for those who have a few hours to waste. The picture below shows how Bob (yellow arrow) hunched over his phone when he was in Mexico attending his sister’s wedding – quite probably the only time this world-savvy intellectual has left the USA – as his sister and brother (foreground) enjoyed themselves.

As an indiscriminate, uncritical consumer of liberal media, Bob was extremely certain about the victory of Hillary Rodham Clinton. After all, how would she lose when Reuters concluded she had a 90% chance of winning? Hillary also represented the Good Side, the future of politics, simply for being a woman (let’s forget her atrocious policies on LGBT). By sneering at poor white people as “the deplorables”, Hillary was after Bob’s heart. Bob believed that, when she was crowned queen, she would yank out the journalists who had ever shown the slightest disrespect to her.
History, as we saw, had gone its own way, and thereafter Bob has been raging almost daily about this “sexist”, “racist” “Fascist” “game-show host”. Literally everything bad is the fault of Trump and those “obsolete” people who elected him. His rage showed no sign of subsiding even after Joe Biden replaced Trump in 2020.
2.A2 - The Covid Pandemic (2019-)
A new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) originated in Wuhan, China, in the final months of 2019, and in two short months has swept through the globe and became an unpreceded public-health crisis. One can reasonably blame Donald Trump’s flippant, unscientific announcements on Twitter, but every government, not to mention the CDC and WHO, were behaving erratically and likely duplicitously. Nevertheless, to Bob, the blame fell squarely on Trump and his followers, who (he thought) deliberately forgo masks and vaccines in order to spread the plague.
Bob reasoned that Hillary would have promptly closed off America’s borders to keep the country safe (forgetting his own insistence that there should be no borders in the globalized world in the first place). Added to the pile of crime that Trump has committed was having stolen Bob’s Summer and his Halloween.
As the number of cases rose throughout America, Bob became insistent that the country should undergo a total lockdown for two months, people’s need being served either by robots, or by National Guard and the whole Army Corps of Engineers. Needless to say Hillary would have done so.
Trump, for all his faults, did not spare expense developing covid vaccines, and during Trump’s presidency Bob was the staunchest of anti-vaxers, as seen in the following tweet, now deleted.
Things, of course, changed overnight when Joe Biden was installed in the White House. Now people who ever questioned the vaccine became less than human in Bob’s book. When challenged, Bob smugly congratulates himself for being able to update his stance according to the latest science.
2.A3 - “The Year We Had No Heroes”
The covid pandemic has caused cinemas to shut down for most of 2020. Being starved of Marvel pablum had further flayed Bob’s nerves, and he made this pronouncement on The Escapist (Indeed if you search the phrase on Google, this is the featured hit). The backlash was immediate: Bob was accused of denigrating the heroic efforts of health-care workers and other customer-facing personnel. What is more, even if we count only fictional superheroes, Bob’s assessment was wrong: earlier in 2020 he had enjoyed – and fapped to – the Harley Quinn feature Birds of Prey. And there were loads of Netflix superhero shows, some of which Bob had even reviewed.
2.A4 - Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization (June 2022)
The last week of June 2022 saw the Supreme Court of the United States passing two verdicts that sent a tsunami through American liberals. In New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen, the anti-gun law of New York was deemed a violation of the Fourteenth Amendment. Yet it was Dobbs, which overturned the notorious Roe v Wade 49 years ago, that really threw liberals into full panic mode. Bob, staunch believer of woman rights who infamously claimed a fetus is merely “a clump of cells”, was of course outraged. Yet despite his customary sociopathic tweets (which include stating his intention to subjecting Supreme Court Justices, or even conservative law students, to Blackmail “or worse”), Bob was relatively sedate compared to other SJWs, perhaps because his anger was more or less spent when documents about the intention to overturn Roe was leaked almost 2 months prior, which compelled Bob to make such endearing tweet as this.
When the verdict was passed, Bobby largely ignored the women and turned his attention to his favorite male transsexuals, panicking with them about how this was the “end of democracy” and how they would be the next victim of the “Chistofascists”, down to the rhetoric that the Supreme Court doesn’t care about his “safety”.
2B. Personal Fuck-Ups
2.B1 Getting fired by The Escapist twice
Bob announced he was fired by The Escapist on 13 February 2015. The presumed reason was his compulsion for insulting gamers, the bulk of the site’s audience, during the Gamergate fiasco. Bob has admitted, on his own blog, that he has seen it coming; he was nevertheless “devastated” by the “timing and completeness of it”.
Fortunately The Escapist was headed by the firm social-justice warrior Russ Pitts, who promptly rehired Bob. Bob however tested their patience by his non-stop political hot takes so Bob was let go again in October 2020 – he was very emphatic that he was NOT FIRED, and that the doors weren’t closed for further collaboration. No “further collaboration” between Bob and The Escapist is in evidence as of June 2022. And right off the bat, Jack Packard of Red Letter Media announced he had no plans to pick up The Escapist’s erstwhile toxic asset.
A sign that Bob has been getting in The Escapist’s hair before he was NOT FIRED was his setting up a second Twitter account, BobChipman1981, for “personal, non-business” commentaries. There is no material difference between what he posted in the two accounts, and was soon left unattended as it lost its raison d’etre after Bob was NOT FIRED.
Ralph Barnhardt suggests that the last straw that led to Bob’s second firing was these ominous yet comical tweets: Bob thought he was invincible and that he was determined to “keep beating” people who wanted him gone. This was not the last time that Bob’s arrogance and his long-standing, untreated anger problem proved to be his undoing.
2.B2 - The Chipman Brothers tried to get people fired, and got their comeuppance
Podcaster Jack Allison’s dramatic reading of Brick By Brick, especially the guffaw he had at the part that Bob skipped Grandma’s funeral in order to install an air-con unit, was seen by Bob as a personal affront, so he joined forces with his moronic brother Chris to combat the haters: “It is not a dramatic reading; it is a takedown of someone for having a different political ideology”. Bazizo, the company behind Allison’s podcast, announced they fired Allison after talking to the Chipmans. Our heroes’ victory was short-lived as, right in the next day, Allison made known he himself was the boss of Bazizo, that the two morons was talking to him with the understanding that he was the podcaster’s boss, and he put all the DMs – which contained such lines as “no one should be fired over this, but this guy needs…” – for the world to see. Chris Chipman was so embarrassed that he shut down his twitter for a while.
This is not the first time Bob tried to get people’s lives ruined for offending him or his friends. In 2013 and a year before the Gamergate Saga, Bob, incensed by an outrage article by a “game journalist” called Patricia Hernandez, ordered his minions to report a 14-year-old in North Ireland for Hate Speech. It is anyone’s guess if Patricia returned favors to Bob. You will see shortly that Bob tried this same trick with Memology 101.
2.B3 - “Borderline gaslighted” by Lindsay Ellis
It is no secret that Bob has erotic designs on Lindsay Ellis, the Channel Awesome mainstay who got famous for having made a “documentary” about her abortion. Bob would regularly retweet Ellis and crept into her convos. For a long time they coexisted on Twitter peacefully. The peace, however, emboldened Bob, and one fine morning in November 2020, he made this fateful tweet:
Being so publicly called out shattered Bob’s notoriously-massive ego. He tried to fish for pity by telling the world he was “deeply hurt and confused”, but wrapped around his pity-me is a barb: he claims he has been “borderline gaslighted” (he soon deleted that tweet).
Ellis was not amused, and for her part she let known how creepy Bob has been: it was not the first time that Bob insinuated they had a “relationship”, and she has “soft blocked” (block then immediately unblock, so the victim gets no notification) Bob at least 6 times. Bob unfailingly added himself back within a day.
A huge drama blew up between Bob’s fans (yes, not only do they exist; they are actually plentiful) and the Ellis’s. This is another reason why Ellis was so desperate to get Bob off her coattail: both Bob’s fans and “anti-fans” were virulent and hateful.
On April 16 2021, Ellis would make a video because she felt somehow responsible for Bob’s hurt at the hand of “neo-Nazis” – but she emphasized that Bob was indeed creepy and they had never been friends.
2.B4 - Defending Cuties
Cuties (original title Mignonnes) is a 2020 film directed by black Senegalese-French woman Maïmouna Doucouré. Ostensibly a coming-of-age story of a pre-teen black muslim girl in France, the film shows the protagonist and her equally young friends “twerking” (a “dance” that consists of imitative sex moves). In one scene, the protagonist is shown photographing her private part with her cell phone; in another, a girl’s pants are pulled down by a bully, exposing her bare buttock. This film was widely reviled as softcore child porn, and people were mobilized to cut off their subscription to Netflix, the film’s American distributor. Hollywood, however, was unanimous in their support of the film in the name of “freedom of artistic expression”. Bob, even though he was unlikely to have seen the film, accused the film’s critics for racism and misogyny, and that the boycott campaign was motivated by right-wing politics – he did not realize that many left-wing personalities, including Nancy Pelosi’s daughter, likewise condemned the film for promoting pedophilia.
2.B4.1 - Drama involving Memology 101
Memology 101 made a Youtube video that called Bob “‘Cuties’ Greatest Fan”. Deeply-offended, Bob tried to mobilize his cronies to mass-report Memology’s Youtube channel for three consecutive days. Nothing happened to Memology, who went on to make at least three more videos telling his audience what a creep and loser Bob was. Given Memology’s channel has four times as many subscribers than Bob’s, and the average Memology video easily exceeds 100k views while Bob’s has trouble reaching 40k, this might be the biggest publicity Bob received for quite a while.
2.B5 - Bob savaged by Amanda Milius
The daughter of director John Milius, Amanda shares her father’s fiery temperament and Republican allegiance. Bob picked the wrong woman to mess with, when he challenged her expertise as a film critic.
Milius must have been the most famous woman who ever responded to Bob; unfortunately I doubt Bob cherished the experience.

Bob announced he was fired by The Escapist on 13 February 2015. The presumed reason was his compulsion for insulting gamers, the bulk of the site’s audience, during the Gamergate fiasco. Bob has admitted, on his own blog, that he has seen it coming; he was nevertheless “devastated” by the “timing and completeness of it”.
Fortunately The Escapist was headed by the firm social-justice warrior Russ Pitts, who promptly rehired Bob. Bob however tested their patience by his non-stop political hot takes so Bob was let go again in October 2020 – he was very emphatic that he was NOT FIRED, and that the doors weren’t closed for further collaboration. No “further collaboration” between Bob and The Escapist is in evidence as of June 2022. And right off the bat, Jack Packard of Red Letter Media announced he had no plans to pick up The Escapist’s erstwhile toxic asset.
A sign that Bob has been getting in The Escapist’s hair before he was NOT FIRED was his setting up a second Twitter account, BobChipman1981, for “personal, non-business” commentaries. There is no material difference between what he posted in the two accounts, and was soon left unattended as it lost its raison d’etre after Bob was NOT FIRED.
Ralph Barnhardt suggests that the last straw that led to Bob’s second firing was these ominous yet comical tweets: Bob thought he was invincible and that he was determined to “keep beating” people who wanted him gone. This was not the last time that Bob’s arrogance and his long-standing, untreated anger problem proved to be his undoing.
2.B2 - The Chipman Brothers tried to get people fired, and got their comeuppance
Podcaster Jack Allison’s dramatic reading of Brick By Brick, especially the guffaw he had at the part that Bob skipped Grandma’s funeral in order to install an air-con unit, was seen by Bob as a personal affront, so he joined forces with his moronic brother Chris to combat the haters: “It is not a dramatic reading; it is a takedown of someone for having a different political ideology”. Bazizo, the company behind Allison’s podcast, announced they fired Allison after talking to the Chipmans. Our heroes’ victory was short-lived as, right in the next day, Allison made known he himself was the boss of Bazizo, that the two morons was talking to him with the understanding that he was the podcaster’s boss, and he put all the DMs – which contained such lines as “no one should be fired over this, but this guy needs…” – for the world to see. Chris Chipman was so embarrassed that he shut down his twitter for a while.
This is not the first time Bob tried to get people’s lives ruined for offending him or his friends. In 2013 and a year before the Gamergate Saga, Bob, incensed by an outrage article by a “game journalist” called Patricia Hernandez, ordered his minions to report a 14-year-old in North Ireland for Hate Speech. It is anyone’s guess if Patricia returned favors to Bob. You will see shortly that Bob tried this same trick with Memology 101.
2.B3 - “Borderline gaslighted” by Lindsay Ellis
It is no secret that Bob has erotic designs on Lindsay Ellis, the Channel Awesome mainstay who got famous for having made a “documentary” about her abortion. Bob would regularly retweet Ellis and crept into her convos. For a long time they coexisted on Twitter peacefully. The peace, however, emboldened Bob, and one fine morning in November 2020, he made this fateful tweet:
Being so publicly called out shattered Bob’s notoriously-massive ego. He tried to fish for pity by telling the world he was “deeply hurt and confused”, but wrapped around his pity-me is a barb: he claims he has been “borderline gaslighted” (he soon deleted that tweet).
Ellis was not amused, and for her part she let known how creepy Bob has been: it was not the first time that Bob insinuated they had a “relationship”, and she has “soft blocked” (block then immediately unblock, so the victim gets no notification) Bob at least 6 times. Bob unfailingly added himself back within a day.
A huge drama blew up between Bob’s fans (yes, not only do they exist; they are actually plentiful) and the Ellis’s. This is another reason why Ellis was so desperate to get Bob off her coattail: both Bob’s fans and “anti-fans” were virulent and hateful.
On April 16 2021, Ellis would make a video because she felt somehow responsible for Bob’s hurt at the hand of “neo-Nazis” – but she emphasized that Bob was indeed creepy and they had never been friends.
2.B4 - Defending Cuties
Cuties (original title Mignonnes) is a 2020 film directed by black Senegalese-French woman Maïmouna Doucouré. Ostensibly a coming-of-age story of a pre-teen black muslim girl in France, the film shows the protagonist and her equally young friends “twerking” (a “dance” that consists of imitative sex moves). In one scene, the protagonist is shown photographing her private part with her cell phone; in another, a girl’s pants are pulled down by a bully, exposing her bare buttock. This film was widely reviled as softcore child porn, and people were mobilized to cut off their subscription to Netflix, the film’s American distributor. Hollywood, however, was unanimous in their support of the film in the name of “freedom of artistic expression”. This Troma alum has personal significance to Bob. He was the first person Bob interviewed in his capacity as film critic, and the first Guardians of the Galaxy film was the last film Bob saw with his late dad. When James Gunn hit it big through MCU, bringing an obscure comic series to mainstream attention, Bob again saw his nerdy interest vindicated. Gunn would later get into trouble with Disney for his old pedophilic jokes on social media. Bob stood firmly by Gunn, dismissing the whole uproar as political assassination. When Disney rehired Gunn, it gave Bob no end of pride.
The Synder Cut and people who demand its release
(Thank you @Sexy Senior Citizen , @Arthur Morgan, and @Koby_Fish) When Justice League (2017) was released, rumors began to float of a version that lived up to the vision of director Zack Snyder. Before long, Twitter was ablaze with people demanding to see Snyder's vision, dubbed the “Snyder Cut”. At first Bob argued it could not possibly exist, until someone who worked in the movie confirmed its existence and no doubt damaged Bob’s ego as a know-it-all.
Bob was apoplectic for at least two other reasons: He resented that a DC franchise had drawn attention away from his one true faith, MCU. Even more inexcusable was that a movie studio would give in to the demands of the hoi polloi. Gradually and for obscure reasons, Bob equated the Synder Cut crowd with Trump supporters, Gamergaters, and what’s not.
Hollywood, of course, saw money and eventually released the Snyder Cut. This has been a sore point with him ever since.
Christopher Nolan and “Film Twitter”
During the height of the covid pandemic, Nolan chose to release his film Tenet only in cinemas. Bob saw this act as a blatant disregard of public health (yet he chose to keep his silence when, one year later when the pandemic continued to rage, MCU released Black Widow in cinema only). Nolan is a darling of Twitter film critics, which Bobby considers “dudebros” and thus hateworthy. The release of Tenet compounded his hatred for both parties.
Boston Dynamics
Harbinger of Bob’s Superior Future, in which manual labor is replaced by robots and physical strength is depreciated. So how about Tesla, Inc? Wouldn’t Bob regard self-driving electric cars to be a sign of Superior Future? The problem is that Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk has an oversized social-media presence and has frankly said some noxious things. Bob despises Musk for his lack of noblesse oblige – as a rich entrepreneur, Musk ought to bow to women, blackies and LGBTs but he does not, not to mention he should have repudiated cryptocurrency “for the sake of environment”. It is doubtless due to Pratt’s outspoken Christian belief (even though Pratt’s church, Hillsong, is as milquetoast as Christian church go), his absence in the Democrat fundraising party organized by MCU stars, and rumors that he actually donated to the Republicans. The Synder Cut and people who demand its release
(Thank you @Sexy Senior Citizen , @Arthur Morgan, and @Koby_Fish) When Justice League (2017) was released, rumors began to float of a version that lived up to the vision of director Zack Snyder. Before long, Twitter was ablaze with people demanding to see Snyder's vision, dubbed the “Snyder Cut”. At first Bob argued it could not possibly exist, until someone who worked in the movie confirmed its existence and no doubt damaged Bob’s ego as a know-it-all.
Bob was apoplectic for at least two other reasons: He resented that a DC franchise had drawn attention away from his one true faith, MCU. Even more inexcusable was that a movie studio would give in to the demands of the hoi polloi. Gradually and for obscure reasons, Bob equated the Synder Cut crowd with Trump supporters, Gamergaters, and what’s not.
Hollywood, of course, saw money and eventually released the Snyder Cut. This has been a sore point with him ever since.
Christopher Nolan and “Film Twitter”
During the height of the covid pandemic, Nolan chose to release his film Tenet only in cinemas. Bob saw this act as a blatant disregard of public health (yet he chose to keep his silence when, one year later when the pandemic continued to rage, MCU released Black Widow in cinema only). Nolan is a darling of Twitter film critics, which Bobby considers “dudebros” and thus hateworthy. The release of Tenet compounded his hatred for both parties.
Boston Dynamics
Harbinger of Bob’s Superior Future, in which manual labor is replaced by robots and physical strength is depreciated. When people point out he couldn’t have lived his safe, leisurely life without hundreds of laborers behind the scene, his repartee is often an animated gif of “Spot”, Boston Dymanics’s robot dog.
Elon Musk
So how about Tesla, Inc? Wouldn’t Bob regard self-driving electric cars to be a sign of Superior Future? The problem is that Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk has an oversized social-media presence and has frankly said some noxious things. Bob despises Musk for his lack of noblesse oblige – as a rich entrepreneur, Musk ought to bow to women, blackies and LGBTs but he does not, not to mention he should have repudiated cryptocurrency “for the sake of environment”. Bob thinks Musk only got rich because his father’s emerald mine had exploited blackies.

Paramount, as every sensible company would do, duly listened to fans and refined the design. Bob saw this as another example of the Cultural Elites, Thinkers, bowing to the unruly horde of ignorant proles. In the end, Sonic the Hedgehog outperformed the contemporaneous Harley Quinn movie Birds of Prey. Bob considered this another personal affront, as he long believed Harley Quinn to be a lesbian.
Chris Pratt
Pratt stars in Bob’s favorite MCU films, Guardians of the Galaxy series. You might expect Bob to idolize Pratt, but no, he hates him. It is doubtless due to Pratt’s outspoken Christian belief (even though Pratt’s church, Hillsong, is as milquetoast as Christian church go), his absence in the Democrat fundraising party organized by MCU stars, and rumors that he actually donated to the Republicans. Pratt is to voice Mario in Illumination’s animated film; get ready for more man-tears in early 2023.
“Pleistocene Rewilding” of the American Midwest
Doubtless inspired by Jurassic Park and dovetails with Bob’s genocidal hatred to the “Red states where nobody lives in”. Bob fantasizes emptying the Red states of its population, then introducing “Asian and African large fauna”, including predators, in the “stolen land”.

Bob proudly calls making video reviews of movies his “job”; he is especially keen to remind people of that since his second firing from The Escapist. So, how good is he at his “job”?
Bob’s Youtube channel has many fans, so some people do like his opinion and his style of presentation. Let’s start with his presentation, which can be summarized in three words: worse than amateurish. For a long time he painted the wall of his basement green to be used as chroma key (in some videos you can see the form of the light switch). A bulbous talking head with sunken cheeks, reading a prewritten script from his computer screen (sometimes the script is reflected on the shades he wears), have the result sped up (to conform to the long-bygone time limit of a Youtube video) – this was what you got from Bob. Bob’s writings are often incomprehensible enough on their own (see Part VI: Bob’s writing style); to have them read in a sped-up, rhythmless monotone, and it beggars belief that anyone could get anything out of them.
Sometime in 2020 Bob moved out from his basement and so abandoned the talking head format, instead of his face he showed cliparts he got from his Escapist gig. The talking fathead returned in April 2022, when Bob bought a green screen, yet his production value managed to get worse: voices and visuals were out of sync, and the green screen was visibly wrinkled.
As in everything in life, Bob is very biased as a critic. Of course no one is free from bias; personal slants can indeed be an asset to a critic, as people tune in to critics whose tastes align with theirs. Among Bob’s less problematic biases is that he favors irrelevant mishmash, illogical “crossovers”, and snarky quips – hence he is so enthralled by MCU and especially James Gunn. Memorably, he tried to pitch his bizarre crossover between Care Bears and Paradise Lost. Slightly more questionable is his insistence that the tone of any long-running franchise should not change. He thinks Batman, for example, should always stay comic and light-hearted as in the Adam West life-action TV series in the 60s. Bob had nothing but rage about the darker portrayal of Batman in Zack Synder’s films, and a mere mention of Joker (2019) is enough to send him into a fit.
When Bob’s world collapsed in 2016, with Trump’s presidency and the box-office failure of the “feminist” Ghostbusters, his mind was taken over by rank tribalism, blatantly evident in his reviews and, as of 2022, appears to be getting worse. Bob began to regard everything by Disney, in particular MCU, as the yardstick of good, socially progressive cinematic art, and similar products by rival studios (such as Sony Pictures and Warner Bros’ DC Extended Universe) are denigrated either as copycats, or as “problematic” dude-bro movies. Social Justice, always in Bob’s mind, assumed an increasingly odious presence in his reviews. In April 2022 he put out a video non-review of Fantastic Beasts - The Secret of Dumbledore, spending 5 minutes telling people that he refused to see the film – conveniently forgetting that this is part of his “job” – and urged his viewers to boycott it, because of J. K. Rowling’s supposed “transphobia”.
Bob prides himself on being able to predict MCU contents, but as @RockVolnutt documented, Bob hits the mark at the very most 10% of the time, and then only if you interpret his vague wordings charitably.

Allow me to quote the observation of fellow Kiwi Shart Attack.
- He lards up his shitty hot takes with tortured euphemisms. Why say "God" when you could say "invisible bearded Judeo-Christian sky wizard?" A lot of people go through an edgy phase where they discover they can use euphemisms to sound oh so clever and show off their cynicism at the same time. Most people grow out of that by like 18, but not Bob.
- He stretches out simple sentences to incomprehensibility with parentheticals, because god forbid he leave some of his brilliant ideas unsaid.
- He censors swear words. (Positron’s note: for no reason except it seems “fun”).
- He puts hyphens after adverbs, like "Bob is a very-fat Masshole with badly-managed anger issues, and I would certainly-never have sex with him." This is something most people learn to stop doing in grade school, unless they're illiterate urban youths.
- He abuses the thesaurus. We all know this. It's in the thread title. Bob does it because, like a child, he thinks obscure words make him sound smarter.
- He clogs up his sentences with oblique references to references of references. Farmers have been analyzing his tweets for years, and sometimes even they can't figure out what the fuck he's talking about when he says shit like, "He looks like a Paul Verhoeven extra vis a vis Todd Browning just discovered Manicheism." It doesn't make you clever if you've gone over everyone's heads with a reference, it makes you a fucking moron who can't communicate his ideas in a way that people can understand them.
My only addition is that Bob and his brother Chris suffer from terminal apostrophe-itis. In addition to the basic its and it’s, they regularly commit funny and bizarre mistakes involving the apostrophe. Bob also has a problem with possessive forms like whose.

Bob has been poking Greenwald since at least 2012, but it was the Edward Snowden affair that marked Greenwald firmly between Bob’s crosshairs. In 2017, Bob started accusing Greenwald for being an “accelerationist”, when the latter commended president Trump for having galvanized the populace to hold the political and cultural elites accountable. Almost immediately Greenwald recognized Bob was nuts.
Bob continues to stalk Greenwald on Twitter to this very day. Very occasionally Greenwald would lose his cool and mention Bob in his tweets, no doubt giving Bob smug satisfaction.
Peter Coffin
A small-bit Gamergate personality most famous for kicking his balls on a “talent” show and having a Realdoll-like wife (since divorced). Coffin has subsequently armed himself with postmodern Marxist mumbo-jumbo, in particular Guy Debord. He makes videos in which he cosplays (much like Bob did in the Game Overthinker days), while his ability to shit out long paragraphs that mean precisely nothing exceeds Bob’s. Fancied himself as an intellectual, Coffin tried to inveigh into Breadtube (a bunch of Youtube pseudo-intellectuals of the “champagne socialist” sort, many of them transsexuals, centered on William Nicholas “ContraPoints” Parrott). Bob, who also has intellectual pretensions and longs to be part of Breadtube, at first tried to cozy up with Coffin. Then various things happened which convinced internet lefties that Coffin is toxic property, even possibly a right-wing shill. Sensing the wind change, Bobby turned against Coffin, and Coffin responded in kind.
Coffin has declared himself “agender” and goes by the pronouns “they”. No matter how bitter their conflict is, Bob always respects this and corrects people who call Coffin “he”.
InfraHaz (Haz)
Youtube tankie who has a grudge against Breadtube. Haz came to Bob’s attention when he upbraided some Viet woman who held strong anti-American sentiments yet married a white man. Bob sees in Haz a gym bro, the bullying jocks who have tormented him at school. Bob is especially keen on calling Haz a “manlet” or “hobbit”.
Fox G. Green
Green is a sticker to Marxism who used to give Bob frank but civil criticism. For a long time Bob tolerated Green, but no more. Bob’s ego grew so big, his circle of sycophants so cozy, that he could no longer face the slightest dissent. Green’s increasing affinity with Peter Coffin also grinded on Bob’s gears. So Bob blocked him in the very last days of 2021. Afterwards Bob has been giving Green the Peter Coffin treatment: screencapping his tweets for bad-faith ridicule.
Aimee Terese
Basically a female version of Fox G. Green. Yet the fact that she is female has put a twist on Bob’s attitude. Bob lusted after Terese, but when Terese continued to go on to ignore Bob, lust turned into resentment, then hatred. Their fling came to an abrupt end when Terese was banned on Twitter.
Razorfist
Daniel Paul Harris (Razörfist / Raz0rfist / Rageaholic) is another holdover from Gamergate and has been having silly slap fights with Bob since that day. Bob created the "Anti-Thinker" as a parody of Harris, who responded with the video “The MovieBob MASSACRE”.
Harris has been intermittently firing cheap shots at Bob, either on Twitter or on his Youtube channel. Harris is a strong supporter of Trump, which should make him an absolute non-person in Bob’s eyes, yet, somehow surprisingly, Bob has some grudging respect for Harris:

Suddenly the pharmacy demands payment for his daughter’s meds; then his home renovation goes mysteriously above budget; sometimes he doesn’t even try and just asks for money because “shit hit the fan”. And like any self-respecting hipster, Chris would insult his donors by displaying artisan craft beers, Green Day concert tickets, and the brand new $3000 Samsung Smart Fridge.
Politically Chris is a near replica of Bob (BLM, “transwomen are women”, “we can’t be friends if we disagree politically”, and so on), although he does not display Bob’s sociopathic, machiavellian fantasies, perhaps because he was more sociable and was thus bullied less.
- Luke “Ellie” Lockhart – Extremely mentally ill, quite possibly schizophrenic, tranny who writes long, incomprehensible screeds on Twitter. Luke is obsessed with pop culture, particularly the video game The Last of Us. Wants covid measures such as masking to last perpetually and wishes CDC could instate “permanent lifestyle changes”

- Arkle (Brian Webber) – A mini-Bob in looks and worldview. Better than Bob in that he has (had?) a job in an Amazon warehouse. Convinced that right-wingers are going to kill him. Never learned to drive.

Sensing the wind change, Bobby turned against Coffin, and Coffin responded in kind.
Coffin has declared himself “agender” and goes by the pronouns “they”. No matter how bitter their conflict is, Bob always respects this and corrects people who call Coffin “he”.
InfraHaz (Haz)
Youtube tankie who has a grudge against Breadtube. Haz came to Bob’s attention when he upbraided some Viet woman who held strong anti-American sentiments yet married a white man. Bob sees in Haz a gym bro, the bullying jocks who have tormented him at school. Bob is especially keen on calling Haz a “manlet” or “hobbit”.
Fox G. Green
Green is a sticker to Marxism who used to give Bob frank but civil criticism. For a long time Bob tolerated Green, but no more. Bob’s ego grew so big, his circle of sycophants so cozy, that he could no longer face the slightest dissent. Green’s increasing affinity with Peter Coffin also grinded on Bob’s gears. So Bob blocked him in the very last days of 2021. Afterwards Bob has been giving Green the Peter Coffin treatment: screencapping his tweets for bad-faith ridicule.
Aimee Terese
Basically a female version of Fox G. Green. Yet the fact that she is female has put a twist on Bob’s attitude. Bob lusted after Terese, but when Terese continued to go on to ignore Bob, lust turned into resentment, then hatred. Their fling came to an abrupt end when Terese was banned on Twitter.
Razorfist
Daniel Paul Harris (Razörfist / Raz0rfist / Rageaholic) is another holdover from Gamergate and has been having silly slap fights with Bob since that day. Bob created the "Anti-Thinker" as a parody of Harris, who responded with the video “The MovieBob MASSACRE”.
Harris has been intermittently firing cheap shots at Bob, either on Twitter or on his Youtube channel. Harris is a strong supporter of Trump, which should make him an absolute non-person in Bob’s eyes, yet, somehow surprisingly, Bob has some grudging respect for Harris:

The main character in Taxi Driver , Travis Bickle, wasn't "sad," he was obviously suffering from a serious mental illness and that was clear when he took the Taxi Driver job because he could not sleep. This manifests in a few ways throughout the movie and it's not some hidden subtext, it's extremely obvious. You'd think Bob would at least some what sympathize with a guy who is a complete loser with the ladies and who constantly has violent thoughts, but I guess not.
The main character in Office Space, Peter Gibbons, after he visits a hypnotist, starts doing really well at his job. The Bobs refer to him as "a straight-shooter with upper management written all over him." He doesn't need to work as hard and put Lumberg in his place. What keeps him turned against the company and why he wants to steal from it (and help his coworkers steal from it) is not about his own problems anymore, but the problems of his friends. (Also, Jennifer Aniston's sub-plot in the movie is pretty good too and shows that the problem runs throughout soulless corporate jobs and not just office jobs.)
Why is Bob a movie critic again? Oh yeah, because he enjoys simplistic, childish crap. What a useful, non-obsolete person he is.

No, we know that he has a fixation on number-go-up because he admitted as much in Brick by Brick. I don't have a copy to reference, but I recall that he got into a bit of a tard rage over Nintendo calling the first SNES Mario game Super Mario World instead of making it a numbered sequel to Super Mario Bros., to the point that he kept referring to it as "Super Mario Bros. 4: Super Mario World" instead. He only stopped when Yoshi's Island was revealed to be a direct sequel to Super Mario World, which would have meant he would have needed to call it "Super Mario Bros. 4: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island."
Remember that beneath the anger and bluster, Bob is a sad little autist that needs the comfort of the things that make him feel secure, numbers going up being one of these.

I think there's two Bobs in this manner, there's Bob before his FUTURE WAS STOLEN FROM HIM and there's Bob now. Their interests and everything are the same but I think their motivations have become distinct. I agree that old Bob actually legitimately loved things but now I think he mostly does it out of spite against his enemies who obviously all despise things Bob likes because they're stupid and evil. I think this explains the transition of Bob from legitimate fanboy with interests to someone who spends all his time "fighting for good people" on Twitter. Is Bob excited about the Mario Bros. movie because he still loves Mario like he did, in some ways yes, but I think it matters more to him because it proves Bob "right" if it succeeds. The "does Bob play video games" discussion is illustrative to this, Bob doesn't care about Mario enough to actually play Mario games because he can't find a way to spin that to fit the necessity of his now singular purpose: defeating the Believers.

I don't know how I missed this. A real knife is always a real knife, even if you use it as a prop. This is how people get hurt, using an actual weapon as a toy. Switch out the word knife with gun and you get Alec Baldwin killing a woman. What an incredible way to try to sound learned and come off as a simpleton that can be dismissed as a simpleton.

I still think the porcine motherfucker could have benefited greatly had he just admitted he has a mental disturbance of some kind, and accepted proper professional advice and help as soon as possible.
Alas, he didn't. He was told a few times he was smart and he had quite some knowledge on the NES, then he took it by heart and decided he was the smartest cookie in the jar, including "fooling" the anger management therapist into thinking he was fine and dandy, all for fear of being perceived as worthy of the short bus.
And now we are seeing the consequences of it. He either doesn't realize, or doesn't want to admit, that he is a fucking laughingstock and that the "work" of his life amounts to absolutely nothing. Or perhaps he knows all of that, but rather than picking up the pieces and starting over, he prefers to stick to his pride, and eat and drink himself to an early grave. This may be his subconscious telling him "you fucked up big time".
I say all of this because I'm drawing some parallels between the porker and me. Last week I was confirmed as being within the spectrum. I'm a literal sperg, and I don't need to be ashamed of it. This doesn't make me lesser than anyone, it just gives me a different perspective of things. Just as long as I don't sperg out and make an ass of myself, I think I'll do fine. I'm also hell-bent on pursuing therapy and taking the prescription drugs I was given. The last thing I want to become in my life is a MovieBob type.

The funniest thing about that is it only droped the number internationally. It really was "Super Mario Bros. 4: Super Mario World" going off the Japanese box.
No one actually calls it that because it's a mouthful but Bob having a freak out about that is extra funny when they never stopped numbering them until Super Mario 64.
