1. Generally speaking, older people are more conservative. This trend goes back decades.
2. Generally speaking, older people were more likely to die of the coof. I mean, it's not even close, death rates are practically nonexistent for anyone who's not a senior citizen, and then jumps up significantly when you reach that age bracket (4-5% or so).

Ergo, it stands to reason that the excess in Republican deaths over the last couple years can be attributed almost entirely to the fact that mostly older people died of the coof, most of whom would have been Republican. This isn't rocket surgery, it takes literally five seconds to logic this out.
