Bob, even before considering the distributive justice issue, the poorly-regulated, over-leveraged American financial industry is an existential threat to not only the U.S., but the world. The U.S. financial crisis exported great hardship to the European periphery, which was amplified by the lack of fiscal stimulus from the core to offset the monetary police of the EU favoring the core. That's even before we look at the case of Greece, where even though their State had bad actors--so their hands are not entirely clean--the losses from German banks' poor investments have been used as a cudgel to ruin Greece, who also has the added "you're welcome" of being flooded by immigrants from the U.S.'s proxy war with Russia in Syria. I guess this is what progress looks like?

I mean, if you want to make it sound like anti-Semitism, then I guess I am going to have to wonder out loud why the financial industry doesn't have $300M diversity programs? I've never tried to assess the racial composition of the financial sector, because I don't really care, but I'm getting a strong "you only care about the tumorous financial institutions, because they're all run by Jews" vibe here. No, Bob, while U6 in the U.S. is now back to 2008 levels, that entire period between was a disaster. Besides underemployment, people who weren't even in bad mortgages lost their homes, because they lost their jobs due to the immediate contraction following the crisis in confidence. There are places outside of Boston and the Mushroom Kingdom.
