The subtle details that he is missing, however, is that just because you are educated and part of an "intelectual" class doesn't preclude you from committing atrocities and in fact may make you all the more effective at committing them. Just because all of your friends and cliqué are college-educated doesn't mean they are the zenith of morality and intelectual rigor and are in fact as fallible as any other human being; if you continue refusing to see that there is a middle ground between your purported goals and methods and the underclass you seem to continue trying to strawman-tweet into existence or relevance, no one is going to buy what you are selling.

While I agree that morality has to come from a place of reason, it's quite hard to reason with someone who flat-out refuses to listen.
