It's emotive rather than cerebral it's not that he can't get its that he won't get it. As I've mentioned he's an authoritarian by nature and authoritarians cannot come deal with any form of deviance from their ideal.

I also think there's a desire by the camp that Bob is loose part of to avoid taking any responsibility for their actions, lest they lose their deathgrip on the reins of the Democratic Party. Obviously Bob himself doesn't wield any of this power, but people with Bob's disposition, but who aren't autistic enough to write the way he does, do and want to keep it, and they done goofed so bad with this election.

I doubt this matters much to Bob or to the people funding his Patreon as long as the "right" people are watching. And if anything if you go to his uploads page, it kind of looks like total views are actually on something of an upwards trend since the election. (Not sure if that link works on mobile.) In any event it certainly doesn't seem like his political sperging on Twatter has hurt his brand, at least not yet.

So Blob's in New York for a Geek.com live stream, where it's grown-ass people playing with toys, and he even had his own segment about the best films of the year. So far, Bob's just dumpy, standing awkwardly, and hasn't really said anything. It really shows how Twitter Bob differs from Social Bob. And the thing that got my attention:

Bob's brand, such as it is, caters to a very niche, very extreme point of view. The people who already have that same viewpoint, i.e. the people who like the Overeater, are not going to be swayed even by the craziest political sperging.

However, this means Bob's "brand", such as it is, is stagnent. Very few people are going to willingly adopt that viewpoint, but people are going to grow up and change viewpoints, meaning that his stuff will go on a slow decline into Alex Jones level ranting, if his heart doesn't give out first.

GEMs, while also being a ripoff of RedLetterMedia's latest thing, is a transparent attempt to get more followers into the brand. It's an attempt to focus on the positive, in an effort to catch more flies with honey.

Of course, I'm probably wrong about all of this and just sperging out, but i just have a mad impulse to figure this shit out and try to understand the lolcows.

While Blobby is tough enough to look at in that pic, the guy on the left gets more ridiculous to longer I look at him. Fucking suspenders with jeans and a t-shirt, that bizarre thin hipster scarf, and a face that looks like Danny Devito if he managed to be creepier looking than he already is.

I kind of want to know who the fuck that man is, because... wow.

Unfortunately, despite what Wu says, it is a tech hub. Boston Scientific, Allegro, etc. They just don't give Wu the time of day. They've mostly moved out from Boston proper.
