I'm not really sure I'm seeing what the grand statement cancelling a cash-in makes about the games industry.

If I look at top grossing movies in the U.S. for 2016 I see a pile of comic book movies, sequels, and remakes of children's movies.

I think this Charlotte chick (and Bob) forget that Merkel has flip-flopped on the refugee and multiculturalism issue several times already in the last few years (I still remember when she proclaimed 'Multikulti ist tot' some years ago) and it's quite obvious she's well over her head in shit. When a branch of her own party has declared her pro-refugee stance as harmful to Germany and the EU, you have to come to your sense at some point and realise how much you fucked up. Not to mention the views of the rest of Europe, not that a bunch of radical leftists/libtards in America know anything that goes on here. So yeah, Farage is quite right in saying this (and not only about this incident in Berlin, mind you. All the rest of the attacks in Europe are to some extent blamed on her since Germany has been at the forefront of the pro-refugee policy). Her legacy has really been defined by these last two to three years and probably the coming ones as well and none if it looks positive.
