How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

So I'm guessing that the fantasy world he's living in is Star Trek.

Even Star Trek had cultural divides on Earth. Chekov loved talking about how awesome Russia was.

Forced integration is not good. I can believe Earth might one day become a utopia without the need for borders, but I think that forcing it at this point will only result in a large number of corpses and violent secessionist movements resulting in even more corpses.

Was that after the eugenics war of the 90s?

The thing about Bob and a crapload of other far left wingers is they were raised on simple, easy to understand fiction with clear heroes and unsympathetc villains (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Mario, etc.) and never grew out of them, to the point it's fucked with their moral compasses.
To them it's not "I have my political beliefs and other people have theirs" it's "me and the people who think like me are the good rebel alliance, and the other side is an evil empire who are evil for the sake of being evil".
Look at how often they reference fiction with simplistic views on good and evil as if they were legitimate events that really happened (without women, the death star would still be around today, Trump's new cabinet pick is like X villain from Harry Potter and that's reason for us to be scared).
Same with history too, they always liken political opponents to indefensible evil people (mainly Nazis).
There's no nuance with them, no disagreements no humanity, just the good guys vs the bad guys.
