I mean, Doug Walker has a lot in common with Dirk Diggler: Got really big by the standards of his industry near the end of a decade, slowly slid into irrelevance, tried and failed to branch out into new things, and now comes up with half-assed schemes in order to make money.

Bob would probably end up being Scotty, a fat, pasty, largely ignored loner on the outskirts who tries really hard but awkwardly and unsuccessfully to fit in.

Or maybe Linkara...

He could be the Colonel, if only so the movie would end with him in a jail cell, whimpering as he's beaten and probably sexually assaulted.
 
You could have a Lindsay Ellis style character spewing about feminism while mainpulating everyone around her a Todd in the shadows style who is incredibly submissive.Considering what kind of movies get made in Hollywood i can see someone making a movie about this.Hollywood loves to make movies about the movies and or persons associated with it even tangentially.You can even have the only sane man character say Brad Jones.And Bob that one dude that is too weird even for them but they humor him nevertheless.

I've said it before but there are actually a lot of disturbing parallels between Bob's life and that of Goebbels. Both were socially isolated as kids, both retreated into media/art to compensate for it, both became incredibly self-absorbed and egotistical as a consequence of isolating themselves further in their entertainment bubble, and both had a go-to stereotype for which they blamed all the world's ills. The parallels of wanting to use art to both control people's beliefs and to punish their perceived enemies you already pointed out.

Honestly, one of the best things about the internet and video games is that now deranged egoists like Bob are more likely to retreat into video games, porn, and sperging about politics online than actually going outside and attaching themselves to revolutionary movements.

Goebbels was an absolutely brilliant manipulator and public speaker. He was also a talented writer who really knew how to get into peoples' heads. He had this shrewdness, like he always knew what was going on.

Bob, by contrast, is completely gormless. He cannot articulate anything without revealing he's totally wrapped up in his own narrow tastes. He doesn't win people over, he just spergs about what he likes and doesn't like.

I'm surprised that Bob actually chose to comment on ME:A, considering it's one of those dirty western games. And knowing that he knows jack on gaming post-1990.

Got a question though, has Bob talked about enjoying video games beyond Mario/Nintendo related works?
