Well if they were reworked, the utter contempt for the common man would make an excellent villain on par with Andrew Ryan or Kyra from "Death Note", but Bob's ideas will never work because he doesn't understand the core of what makes a good story or what at least most people find in a good story.

You want to know what the hugely ironic thing about MovieBob's ideals about superior future and technology when compared to the Megaman series? One of the main themes of the series is how humans shouldered all the responsibilities onto robots and expected them to flawlessly understand human morality and it led to wars and destruction on a global scale. Humans and robots in the series only finally came to peace when a human and robot worked together and humanity pulled it's head of it's own ass.

Moral of the story is, don't be lazy, self-important shits. Which, while I don't expect anyone to think is an argument against Bob's ideology, hilariously contradicts Bob's hopes for the future in an obvious way. The fact that Bob never seemed to pick this up is fucking amazing considering how fucking stupid his modern retelling would be.

This is why I truly believe that Bob could honestly be categorized as of having evil leanings. Well I think the love he has for this type of mindset comes from his deeply authoritarian mindset and that those of the most intelligent and especially those in tech sectors are the most fit to run society and those who disagree are holding back society and must be crushed at all costs. For example, in this context, what if I had severe objections to Tyrell Corporation creating a large number androids that are simply designed to be a slave workforce and even high-end strongmen? Too bad friendo, these androids are better for Los Angeles and enriching the all important California and they are apart of the superior future where the common man is jobless.

I've done a bit of thinking and to be honest I'd call Bob upper-working class at best, despite his cushy job he still lives in a basement and only spends money on food, rent and toys. A qualified workman like a builder or plumber definitely has a better quality of life than Bob despite the harder work.

Bob thinks that everyone is as poorly motivated as he is and that middle-America is so stupid that they'll just sit around with their thumbs up their asses and accept their fate if/when their jobs go away and nobody in power even pretends to stand up for them - I doubt it's even crossed his mind that there might be repercussions from mass unemployment, if it has he's probably arrogant enough to assume that all police and military would be more than happy to arrest/shoot any uppity flyover peasants.

Somewhat relevant but fftopic:: Currently Greece has a 20% unemployment rate and people are so pissed off that if an election was tomorrow a genuine communist party and a genuine hard-right/fascist party would each get about 10% of the vote. Also if an election was held tomorrow the parties that people blame most for the economy being shit (left wing + centre left) would be so badly fucked it'd probably take them a decade to recover. Basically people fight back when politicians fuck them over.

Yeah Greece is in a very scary position, especially considering they are a coalition style government meaning that a Fascist or Communist party could have significant sway on how things are ran in the country. To bring this back to Bob, people will vote for someone even if they have crazy ideas if they feel abandoned. This is why Trump won and the Democrats will continue to lose if they keep having Bob's idea or if the party has a split between Bob's camp and the Justice Democrat types.

People forget that things like Hitler and PolPot do not rise in a vacuum. They most often show up when clueless elite technocrats meet reality and the people suffer as a result. The current Greek government is the closest Europe has seen to the Weimar Republic in a Century.
