Remember Bob's not actually a liberal. He's a corporatist technocrat. What the fuck timeline am I in right now where the bleeding heart liberals are the ones defending the rights and privileges of megacorporations?
Personally I like to think the reason is those corporations agreeing with their viewpoints and things like "Muh representation!" even though it's clear they still only care about profits. Maybe also things like how the US government can't "no platform" people but a corporation like Google or Facebook totally can. They can even do that while working with the government/political parities but because they aren't the government, they don't have the same restrictions. That's why it's become more common for the more nutty liberals to become corporatists. What the fuck timeline am I in right now where the bleeding heart liberals are the ones defending the rights and privileges of megacorporations?
It seems like they've all taken Bob's infamous "no bad tactics" quote to heart. I'm sure it's been pointed out before, but it's cognitive dissonance on steroids. What the fuck timeline am I in right now where the bleeding heart liberals are the ones defending the rights and privileges of megacorporations?
He's so delusional he thinks white knighting a giant corporation like Google is sticking up for the little guy.
I'm not an expert on philosophy, but doesn't Plato make it clear that his republic was only theoretical?
I honestly cannot remember it's just the clostest frame of referance for bobs exceptional beliefs
An army of armed Texans? They'd take over the state in less than a day.
Might happen sooner than we think."Suspicion often creates what it suspects." -C.S. Lewis
Keep calling the Right Nazis, Bob and eventually they'll don jackboots to kick you in the nuts.
Republic is "theoretical" not so much in the sense of "let's just do a thought experiment" as "it'd be great if this happens and this is what we should be strive for". In other words, Plato/Socrates was more idealistic/utopian, and was no more "theoretical" than Karl Marx.I'm not an expert on philosophy, but doesn't Plato make it clear that his republic was only theoretical?

And Philosopher Kings are supposed to be keen in mind and body, not basement-dwelling blobs gorging on junk food and Marvel movies.
If properly trained, they should not succumb to the temptation of money, status, or sex anyway.Weren't the Philosopher Kings also supposed to be dirty poor so that they wouldn't be tempted to get cushy with their job?

I knew Bob's obsession with Mario was bad but I didn't think it was this severe.Bob Chipman, the one liberal who thinks "once a crook, always a crook" when it comes to convicted PoCs.

Truly, Gandhi would be shocked by his method of simple living.
I noticed at least one Eclipse compilation in there, but I have a hunch it's a comp of Japanese monster/gangster movies instead of the early years of Bergman or Ozu. In fairness, that's probably what'd I'd get too, but I'm also not claiming superiority over others off of taste.Somehow I don't recognize any Criterion Edition on those heaps of DVDs. Lover of arts and culture everyone!
Bob's mind is probably 'Why spend money on Criterion when you can spend it on Nintendo instead?'Somehow I don't recognize any Criterion Edition on those heaps of DVDs. Lover of arts and culture everyone!
