We sure he isn't already in an existential crisis and him being a bigot on twitter isn't just his way of expressing it?
No, this is normal Bob though he's a bit panicked about Trump because he's in the crowd that thought it'd be impossible for conservatives to ever win another election after Obama. He's doubling down because he envisions himself as part of a resistance against tyranny and people supporting him are reinforcing the delusion (along with News outlets pushing #Resist).

His biggest existential crisis would have to be afterwards when he has no support anywhere. Likely soon when this stops being the "cool" thing.

I'm sure Bob will still twist that into "TRUMP SUPPORTS RACISTS" somehow.

Thing is, Bob was never "cool". Not as a shitty game reviewer and not as a shitty SJW. How people still think he's all that and a can of beans is anyone's guess.

I could see the trend of Social Justice dying down, the attitudes of Gen Z, and the current trend of fans turning on him leading to some sort of crisis for him. He'd either have to admit he never was the "Superior Future" or find some way to dig himself deeper into that hole. Maybe we'll get Existential Crisis Bob.
Who knows, it might happen with Justice League. He already got shit for saying that people will only like it due to Zack Snyder's daughter an heroing. Given that Bob's a Never Wrong with no filter, it's not really a matter of "if" but "when".

I didn't say Bob was "cool", I was saying he'd have a hard time coping with his kind of ideology officially being "really old people stuff" and more of his fanbase leaves him. He likes to paint himself as forward thinking even if he's trapped in the early 90s which means he'd have to pretend to adapt and I don't think he's capable of that. He's going to be the equivalent of a really grumpy conservative grandfather trying to talk to millennials.

Do any of these losers legitimately think that Trump is gonna respond to their exceptional opinion on the world? What's the point?

They gotta signal as much as they can or they could be accused of not "resisting" enough.

Speaking of Justice League...

I wonder why geek.com still let him write on their website? His personalty is for lack of a better word, toxic. Just taking a look on his twitter should have given them a hint on why they should not hire him.
Desperation. While he may be an idiot with a mean streak, he's an idiot with a mean streak and a following, regardless of how meager it may be. You ever hear about or watch the other randos on Geek.com, or just Bob?

The main reason is because these publications are very mercenary in their hiring of writers and will take anyone if they are cheap enough. Bob and many other social justice types are very willing to work for dirt cheap to spread their message in vain hopes people will buy their merchandise they shill like street vendors.

Rather than just wanting to see good movies from any studio, but actively roots for the DCU to fail because he's a 36 year old MCU fanboy.

Normally I'd agree with you, but this year he gave Logan (a Fox Marvel movie) 3.5/4 stars, Wonder Woman 3/4, and Spider-Man: Homecoming (which you think he'd eat up with it being an MCU Spider-Man film) only 2.5/4.

This truly is the most bizarre timeline.

His Raimi fanboy boner is much bigger than his MCU fanboy boner. I don't think he's ever offered any substantial criticism of a single Sam Raimi movie, Spider-Man or otherwise.

I bet he gave Homecoming a 2.5 so that he wouldn't have to say it's as good as or better than WW. Can't have a male super hero summer blockbuster be better than one with a woman or that would be S E X I S T

I doubt they are actually paying him. Hence it is "free" content to drive traffic one way or another. Hate clicks are just as good as friendly ones. They don't care.

Remember kids, vandalism's okay when Bob says it is!

However, you can tell that the praise he gives for Logan/WW are the most tepid, backhanded praise you could give (iirc, he called Logan "a good movie that should never happen again").

Jumping off that, his attitude towards the Fox-Marvel movies are something worth talking about. He hasn't really talked about Deadpool 2 outside of virtue signaling about Domino and thinks that it'll suck, he isn't looking forward to New Mutants and he hates the X-Men movies to the point of being condescending to people who like them. I'm curious what his thoughts on Legion are, given that it's a complete mind fuck of a superhero show.

I also stumbled onto some pretty exceptional ideas of his:

Isn't Kevin Hart super short? This doesn't exactly sell that Deadpool is a super soldier. The reason Deadpool was a success was due to Deadpool comics already being popular and a very good marketing campaign. Nobody knows what the fuck Toxic Avenger is.
