Hey, I know a guy who was acquaintances with movie blob a while back, would it be worthwhile to ask him about the blob himself? It's not likley to yield new information, since from the sound of it they were friends of friends I guess.

How is the LCG/CCG anyways? They always interested me a bit, but never got into them.
Does he wash himself with a rag on a stick?

Too bad Bob doesn't have the self-reflection to realize he basically described himself

Friends is a misnomer.

"Unfortunate souls who happen to cohabitate with him" would be closer, but is a mouthful. Not that Bob isn't used to those both on Twitter and in real life.

Another massive rant, another day.

Some rando said:
Bernie Sanders would have won the general election against Donald Trump in 2016.

Bobby said:
So would've Clinton, in an actual election where a hostile foreign power didn't have a thumb on the scale. Again, for the cheap seats: I like Bernie Sanders. Good dude, ON PAPER closer in econ politics to me than "mainstream" Democrats but he wasnt candidate, in part because didn't want to help other Democrats, and ALSO because no one ever finishes this sentence properly: "Bernie woulda won " b/c his version of Leftism panders to White obsolescents at the expense of the ACTUAL 21st Century working class. I mean, I'm a cold pragmatist so I won't judge you for being win-focused, but be honest about it: The undeniable subtext of Sanders as the "better" candidate in terms of raw numbers boils down to "The angry, sexist, racist white guys who put Trump over were more comfortable with him because he was also a White guy and seemed (through poor communication) to agree with them that Democrats talk too much about minorities and women and not enough about THEM. Because that's what "economics, not identity politics! MEANS to paranoid White obsolescents.

P.S. If you want a moral balm to soothe having to accept that, think of it as karma for the similar subtle White race-baiting the Clintons employed against Obama in 2007.

I have no idea what defines the "21st century working man", perhaps the presence of an e-begging account?

Two more tweets that don't belong in that tirade:

Bobby really doesn't like "obsolete" things:

"Those phone cases are asking for it, just like 20th-century working-class Trumplings!"

Either that or Mexican/Chinese wage slaves. I recall Bob esposing some of the typical neolib/con talking points about such things. Maybe I'm confusing him with Destiny though.

They both are easy to confuse as there is an overlap in ideology, but at least Destiny is brave enough to confront those he disagrees even if he will barely give you an opportunity to talk.

The movie ccg was weird. I love the LCG, it's like an RPG in a card game. Where you and it some friends work at a deck of quest cards filled with obstacles and enemies. And it gets so obscure. I built a deck using Hirlúin and Círdan.

Also, he's right, Punisher is pretty reactionary. As is Dirty Harry. I wouldn't call them power fantasies. Because the people who fantasize about that would be like high schoolers. Which I think means Bob a man who's like 35. Has some baggage from like 18 years ago. And that is deeply deeply hilarious

It always tickles me when Bob bitches about Sanders considering his surefire candidate was a spectacular failure against an apparant no-hoper like trump. Bernie might not have won but on hindsight Hillary was a fucking terrible candidate.

Bob doesnt seem really aware of china and manual labour (I have no idea how he actually thinks shit gets made to be honest) in any context he's a big proponant of globalization but doesnt really seem to grasp how reliant on sweatshop labour his 'superior future' is. You're probably talking about Destiny who once tried to defend chinese labour laws by saying it wasnt as bad as fuedalism.

He doesn't give a shit that his "superior future" involves massive slave labor. Those people with "jerbs" are beneath his notice.

The Decipher CCG (there was a 1st CCG called "middle-earth" IIRC) was great and one of my all-time favorite game engines. When it's your turn, you play the heroes, and when it's your opponent's turn, you play the villains.

With the LCG, you build a deck, and an enemy deck is constructed based upon the scenario for you to play against. It's pretty decent as a solo or co-op experience. The more frustrating aspect is that when you buy the packs, over half of it are cards for the opposition/evil deck and the rest for you to actually build with. This can be frustrating as for while you will probably feel like there's not much deck building to do until you get a LOT of sets in your collection.

Of course the distribution of LCGs is beautiful and a fraction of the price of CCGs. When you buy an expansion you get all the copies you need of every card in that set. No rarities, no multiples needed. They usually release 6 small sets at $15 MSRP (but you can usually get it for 10-12) then a deluxe, larger set at $30 MSRP.

Excluding the Core Set. LotR permits 3 copies of a card in deck and the core set has some cards 3 of, some 2 of and even a few 1 of. So if you want to have the max number of some of the best cards, you'll have to buy 2 cores - but at least half of that will be the evil-side cards which you do NOT need extras of.

It is also pretty nerdy with characters and situations only from the books and some pretty obscure ones at that. Definitely recommended for hard core LotR fans. Here's a good website that outlines the sets that have been released with a card display and it has a blog on the game.

As if we need more evidence that this fat reeking dump is sociopathic.

I mean, I have a hypothesis that killing Bobby Chipman will solve the world hunger problem. Would he let me try it to make sure?

Someone brought up Adorno out of nowhere and Bobby, in an old tweet, claims to have read him in college.

Adorno.png

Adorno would not gel with Bobby's obsession with crass pop culture. If he got anything from Adorno (a big if) it is his pretense to be an totalitarian arbitrator of art for the whole society, and his venom against people who dared to do "non-progressive" things.

Bobby gets super defensive about people suggesting that he doesn't know book stuff. Hmmmm I wonder why.

TRUMP is the "result". Deal.

Oh geez, if Bob starts going off on religion AND LotR? This board is going to melt down in autism. Yeah Bob, Jesus doesn't follow the conventions of a story as if he REALLY EXISTED. You don't have to acknowledge him as God to acknowledge him as real as any other historical figure (if anything we have better credit for Jesus than just about anybody pre-printing press).

Oh that's right, Bob knows jack and squat about history.

N00b. Come back when you've played the CCG. (he says while looking over his own stack of LCG cards)

Great, now you've put into my memory banks the idea of a stupid porno you bastard. (one of those reverse racial ones, we'll get a little black girl and a bunch of white dudes)

It would probably be so offensive we'd make millions.

CCG, you're all noobs. Come back when you've played the Iron Crown Enterprises RPG based on Rolemaster with the Pete Fenlon maps and the Angus McBride covers.

Which is a nice way of saying, yes, if Bob goes after Lord of the Rings I want a front row seat at the spergfest.

I wouldn't call myself a hardcore fan, but I love the 3 books and the hobbit, and was in a group playing the One Ring for over two years and had a blast. We managed to parley with Taller the Hunter, and it was great, and we made friends with Radagast the Brown.
The LCG sounds like some fun, I might give it a shot, thanks!

"Batman is a reactionary fantasy."
Which power fantasy isn't?
Speaking of which. Funny story. The Blob once had a sperg out about Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. He called it, and games like it, a "Post 9/11 Revenge Fantasy". Basically he said it allowed Obsolete Americans the chance to kill some Muslims in a post 9/11 catharsis simulator...Which isn't the main point of COD 4 or any COD game. There really aren't that many games in general that use such a pretense either. But it's Bob so the lack of knowledge is to be expected. Flash forward to 2017 and what does Bob pick up but, as shown a page or 2 ago, Wolfenstein 2 for the Damn Dirty Xbone. A game which, as wonderfully shown by it's Ad Campaign, is targeted towards the Punch "Nazis" crowd. In words a Post Trump Revenge Fantasy for salty as fuck Lefties like Bob.
