How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

I wish you didn't preemptively hate it for vague, undefined reasons, but here we are.

I have a hunch GOTG Vol. 2 isn't the genius deconstruction Bob says it is, can anyone confirm?

Way to support your fellow journalists, guys.

Bob is actually really unpopular in left and liberal twitter, he just doesn’t realize it. Even leftist twitter thinks Bob is a Nazi.
He just has a small bubble of dead brained followers.
And he dismisses them as "Cool Kid Twitter". Way to internalize your bullying even more.

I'm not powerlevelling my Twitter but I think he's a cunt and I'm red as fuck.

Anybody else notice how Twitter is becoming more hostile to Bob? I'm guessing the centre/left is becoming aware of how hateful he is and they don't get filtered through block bots.
I know individuals have called him out on it, I more want to see if there's any groups of progressives or similar groups talking about him in a negative light. That's the group he pretends to be part of.

GOTG 2 didn't deconstruct anything. Bob's seeing depth and symbolism where there is none. To him, a kiddy pool is deep but he steadfastly ignores the grown-up end of the pool because he can't really swim that well.

Bob...the most that film did was talk about family. There was NOTHING that indicated what you're speaking. Stop quoting Lindsay fucking ellis to jerk off your own fanboyism.

Leave it to Film Robert to come up with the theory that some committee of suits bringing back the comic villain Ego was actually a genius way to deconstruct the Chosen One/hero trope through his relationship with Starlord

Now, now, Bob had to live through the horrors of the console wars. That's got to count for something. \s

I still wonder just what in the hell he meant by this. The console wars was well played capitalism at its best, and mild cultural difference between social circles at worst. And unlike the cola wars, it didn’t have an actual war to back it up to the point that one side was largely veterans and the other was not.
And doesn’t Bob hate capitalism?

Not really, he gets boners over the idea of a corporation owning the whole world and thinks of the "Elites" as his personal master race or rather the only true humans. He thinks the working class should be eradicated and replaced with robots.

God, people like that are the worst. A little jealousy is fine, it can be a great source of ambition, but declaring hatred for something because you suck and others are successful is just petty.

I honestly do not understand his use of the word "interrogate" here. Halp?
Postmodern mumbo jumbo, meaning "do something that I don't know the exact word for".

And of course Bobby can only "interrogate" comic-book popcorn and kid lit. Grownup things like Sense and Sensibility would waterboard him.

The only reason Disney used Ego was because Starlord’s father in the comic books belongs to an offshoot of the Shi’ar and Disney didn’t own the movie rights back then.

I wonder if thats why we haven't seen Skrulls in the MCU.
That’s exactly the reason why. Shi’ar is an X-men property, Skrulls are a Fantastic Four property and Fox owned the movie rights to both. Surprised MahvieeBaahb didn’t know that.

Not really, they always had Skrulls since they were still featured a lot outside the Fantastic Four, they just couldn't use the Super Skrulls or anything like that. There's a quote floating around where they mention not wanting to waste them as some generic mooks which is why you had the Chitauri instead in the first Avengers film. They're going to be featured in the Captain Marvel movie and this was planned out before Disney bought Fox.

They could use the race just not certain concepts and characters from the race.
