I cannot imagine how embarrassing and upsetting it must be for people who actually lived through the era before civil rights were passed to hear a bunch of white folk say that some fucking popcorn action flick is the greatest advancement of black people and one of the most important cultural touchstones for people of color in the history of this country. I cannot even begin to imagine. Just think about how degrading that is toward their struggles in actual racism and their fight for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Just think, Bob, for ONE. FUCKING. Still wish someone can explain where that misinformation came from or why it continues when the movie itself made it clear that colonialism has nothing to do with their existence. You'd have to be intentionally reaching for that conclusion.

As for wanting it out of theaters, I hate to remind you that Captain Marvel is next year and that means we'll get the same reaction from Bob and pals as they treat it as "Black Panther: White Woman edition". Possibly with more infighting about "white feminism".
