The NRA is quoting metal bands? This makes me want to give them 20 dollars.

It would make a certain degree of sense to start quoting metal bands as it does have a pretty strong conservative or at least pro-2A element within metal fans. And TBH Jon Schaeffer from Iced Earth would probably write you a fucking album from scratch supporting 2A.

Of course Bob has probably only heard of metal bands that were popular in the 80's or appeared in Guitar Hero.

Long story short, I discovered Moviebob long before most of you did, back when he was a relatively small and down-with-the-people channel prior to his ego and sense of reality flying into the stratosphere and remember the good times of re-watching his videos frequently and anticipating the next one and learning something from pretty much any one of them.

Not me. As I pointed out I knew him when he was just a blog, long before he even made his first video and we'd aruge on some film commentary sites.

Maybe he did have a tragic upbringing that's left him with many demons he has to face. But his continued behavior only justifies why people don't like him or treated him poorly throughout his life. He's a lunatic of the highest magnitude.

I heard the story today (true story) of a kid adopted by his aunt & uncle when he was 8 weeks old before his mom was sent to jail. The mom still hasn't gotten out and his dad (who also had a thug life but apparently cleaned up eventually) was shot and killed last year.

That kid has gotten a baseball scholarship to a university in this state.

That's another thing that angers me about Bob. When he's all "i had a hard life but made something of myself and didn't be all bitter." Fuck him. I've seen people with REAL tragedies in their lives go on to do a lot more than he ever has. And very often those same people would be the ones he'd call "worthless."

Part of me almost wants to write a book about the aforementioned kid's life and get it to sell a hundred times Bob's tome just as a big middle finger to him and a pat on the back of the kid making something of himself. (Or maybe turn the story into one of those schmaltzy sports films - one that he would have to watch.)

I don't want to tag Bob too hard for what's basically a standard Clinton defender talking point, because I know my own right wing biases and don't like them to color my view of him more than they already do, and there are so many things to hit Bob on besides parroting things I've heard a thousand times before. Repeating the "it was just about sex!" thing is useful in showing Bob has zero insight or analysis of his own, despite his pretensions to being some sort of deep thinker. On the rare occasions Bob has an original thought, it tends to be batshit insane.
