Marvel isn't even that SJW barring Black Manther, anyway, so I have no idea what he's talking about.

It's debatable how SJW black panther is considering Wakanda adopts soft ball cultural imperialism is the correct solution at the end and the country is a monarchy with some kratocratic elements. which might explain why Bob likes it so much since it's very simular to his superior future.

The 'bad' kind of nerd thing has actually been done to death in comics, since all that the 'bad' nerd is someone whose socially alienated or abused and warped by the experiance then given real power. Framing such characters as nerds is tricky because the immediate shift in power dynamics caused by having superpowers and the will to use them to your advantage effectively means you don't stay a nerd for long unless you're a one note comedy character.
Any attempt to frame such a villain in a contempory liberal moral panics about counter-culture's would effectively give such a villain a shelf life off about 3-7 years and would probably cultivate a certain degree of resentment from Nerd culture.

That's assuming it wasnt somehow succesful enough to re-establish the social stigma regarding comics and integrate into our culture , which would ironically be really bad for Bob because he's a poster boy for the toxic nerd.

I know I've said this before, but it seems all of Bob's fanfic story motivations revolve around him shitting on something conservative. Take the friendly patriarchal/white/male mentor character to the heroes and turn him into a villain who must be destroyed. Kill off beloved members of the cast and turn the story into some sort of grimdark tale starring the most Bob-like member of the cast gaining power and becoming a catchphrase spouting avenger. It's like all of Bob's authoritarian fantasies coming to life starring all of your 80's childhood favorites. The results are...interesting to say the least. I'm personally looking forward to Bob's treatment of Strawberry Shortcake where the Purple Pieman tosses Strawberry into an insane asylum and she starts imagining herself and her friends reenacting the movie "Sucker Punch".

And here's something that Bob doesn't realize - that the polarization of our society poses a real threat to the superhero genre. It's easy to get behind a ragtag band of superheros when the heroes' views of what's right and what's wrong are largely apolitical and revolve around things that everyone believes are good like catching criminals. But it's tough to read a comic book starring ideologically driven superheros because they're likely to engage in some very ethically questionable acts (even though the story will treat those acts as "necessary" and morally correct.) Also, in the back of your mind stirs the existential horror of knowing what an ideologically driven man like MovieBob would do if he were ever granted superpowers. If people were to randomly develop superpowers in a polarized world like today, the world would be a glass graveyard in no time as the most radicallized superheroes would try to destroy everything and everyone they hated.

Pretty sure that pic of Bob could be shopped or turned into an exploitable real easily...

So... Supergod by Warren Ellis? Or almost anything by Mark Millar?

Well now I finally understand where they get their inspirations.

their is a market for that sort of writting, the Authority explores the subject quite well, Were a group of superheroes engage in dismantlement of the obligarchic status quo to establish a contempory American 'ideal' Liberal society.....by force. You can do this sort of thing and it's great but you have to remember that it's quite niche and has to acknowlague the best case scenario you're establishing an obligarchy of relatively benevolant God's (hopefully. Their's a reason why mainstreme heroes don't exert control of the goverment and why a lot of superhero conflicts are Demi-gods who wish to rule via force vs those who respect the little people.

I'd go with Black summer, supergod is superheroes who arnt even really human anymore as opposed to autocratic fuck-ups.

Robert Chipman was always an awful fanfic writer. Just look at his "story bits" in the game overthinker series. And his takes on movie ideas, oh oy. Personally I think his Carebear movie idea, which was esentiall Carebears going Avengers and Sam Raimi Spiderman, still takes the cake. Cause hot damn, that one was awful on so many levels.
This one.

Kids would be so bored watching this.

My favorite bit.
Tenderheart and Grumpy walk out to the balcony, looking at the stars and down at the faint glow of Earth's horizon below. Tenderheart reveals that as his first order of business, he wants Grumpy to figure out the workings of Cloud Keeper's creation-machines. "It's a big world down there. And it's going to need a lot more care. And we're going to need a lot more Care Bears."

ROLL CREDITS.

That's quite possibly one of the most horrifying thoughts that have ever popped into my head. The only reason Bob isn't taken seriously is because he lacks significant power. But actually give him real power? He'd slaughter people in a heartbeat. Within twelve hours of Bob getting his powers, half of the flyover states in the USA would be wiped off the face of the earth.

You know that cliche where the villain gloats and boasts for long periods of time to give the hero enough time to find a way to escape and save the day? Hopefully Bob would be one of those types, the thrill of power and the joy of doing harm would be so thrilling for him that he'd savor every last moment of it, he finally has the chance to kill everyone he hates and make them suffer for it so he'll make them suffer by taking his time, until he's inevitably foiled by the heroes.

So why does bob hate Venom and he's getting hard for it to fail? I'm not very good at understanding how he interacts with cape shit and all I've got is he doesnt like anti-heroes.

Fuck off with your obsolete mancrush Bob; the Raimi movies are only good movies (and 3 was not one of them) and aren't the gold standard of the character (that goes to Lee, Ditko, and Romita Sr. IMO). I legit don't know why this tool is so fucking obsessed with Raimi's take given he was both a full grown adult when they came out and is very much not a cinema guy to the point I doubt he ever saw the Original Evil Dead, let alone most of Raimi's cinematography.

To give you an idea, my reaction to the trailer was "Great Brock, Venom himself works voicewise and look... but why the fuck is he out of suit so often?". But that's because I know the character to a degree unlike this pillock., If you're curious @Emperor Julian , Bobby here is just parroting Raimi's opinion on it in his own tribalistic and retarded way with no insight of his own.

I seriously can't tell if Bob is self-hating or just the least self-aware person on the face of the planet. I mean, "the least hygienic guy between 35 and 50"? Are you kidding me with this bullshit? I have a feeling Bobbo doesn't exactly smell like attar of roses.

Oh my god! Shut the fuck up, Chipman. All of this complains are incredibly superficial that it hurt ,and the fact he believes a comic book reader will take his word for it is insulting to the fans' intelligence

Because chipman's black and white look on the world, and the superhero genre. Or else try to explain his passive aggressive nature against Deadpool, or other more mature super hero flicks. He's a bloody child, and whines about things not going how he likes it.

This is why everytime a fan Bobbo says he's a fan of Spider-man, I always reply; "He's a fan of RAIMI's Spider-man. Not the character in general." It's clear that he never bothered to read the comics outside the films. For this delusional fat ass. Raimi is the only one that did Spider-man right. Despite being other medias where they did him better. But "fuck those, gimme that raimi dick."

He gets :autism: about any non-MCU capeshit unless his senpais approve like Wonder Woman which he still says is not as good as GotG2. That and probably the anti-hero thing, yeah.

Not to say anything good about Venom since if you keep up with the behind the scenes stuff, there's a lot of shady stuff going on. Sony wants people to think it's part of the MCU and succeed so they could pull "Give us more money or we're taking back Spider-Man" once the contract's up with Marvel Studios. They're still salty about not having a super big IP to milk and Venom is part of this plan alongside another Spider-Man spin-off, Silver & Black, which is another attempt at Amy Pascal's "all female hero team" dream that gave us the Ghostbusters reboot.

By god, they are still attempting the all female team again? How does Amy Pascal still have a job after this?

Money and connections. Two things that allow brain dead idiots to stay in power.

His brain probably melts when you give him a morally gray story, such as Shin Megami Tensei, Berserk, or even Hellboy. But we all know Bob's tastes are as bland as dirt, so he would avoid all that to keep his fantasy of a black and white world. At this point, there is no question that Bob is mentally ill in some sort of way, since you grow out of the black and white mentality when you are an adult.

Eh, this is more the original plan depending how you look at it but it's silly to keep atempting. First there was the "Glass Ceiling" which was working title for a TASM spin-off but that fell apart with 2 so they reworked bits of it into Ghostbusters and since that failed they're going back to the Spidey spin-off idea since they can piggyback off the MCU. I guess she's keep pushing for it to be a big thing until she gets fired.

Maybe it's because I'm not a film guy but I don't know how common it is to chase a dream this autistic. It'd be like Bob trying to make his pitches actually happen instead of just shitting out silly ideas to amuse himself.

tfw you'e expecting Infinity War sperging, but wake up to Venom sperging.
The reactions I’m seeing from people about Infinity War are somewhat identical to the ones from Justice League. What’s important to note is that the reactions aren’t as enthusiastic as people had hoped for.

Money and connections. Two things that allow brain dead idiots to stay in power.
Kinda of like Bob. If it weren’t for the connections and money he had, he would’ve been out of the industry after his constant GamerGate sperging.

It would be both the most annoying and the most hilarious thing if Bob ever discovered Berserk with the sheer amount of naughty, terrible and awesome stuff inside.
