But here’s something that could have happened, he could have been paid a little more at a B-grade website like The Escapist if he both shut up during GamerGate and improve his film criticism skills and not be a lazy sack.

Also, he had connections to Devin Farci, Screw Attack, and Screen Rant, two prominent websites for games and film in my opinion.

Pretty strange for a critic to see a movie again in theaters that isn’t a critics screening. Aside from me admitting that I’ve regretfully seen The Avengers three times, which doesn’t hold up well today, I’ve only seen the MCU movies once in theaters and all of them, say Iron Man, are highly unwatchable today.

You'll never get the Silver Age purists on board with Venom, which is why they love Spider-Man 3's blatant Venom-In-Name-Only: he was altered to fit their sensibilities (completely evil with no redeeming qualities or shades of grey to him). I feel like a lot of the negativity surrounding Venom stems from the “evil doppelgänger” archetype he embodies coupled with the fact that he was born out of the MacFarlane era of Spider-Man since comic spergs like to act like everything MacFarlane ever touched turned to dirt.

I saw the Venom trailer. Not a big fan of the character, but it looks fun as hell and a breath of fresh air in the superhero film market. Also, I think Tom Hardy looks like a better Eddy Brock/Venom than Topher Grace in Spider Man 3.

Seeing Bob bitch about how refreshing movies suck makes me want to root for them to do well and stick it to him. I hope Venom is a good movie, heck, hopefully better than Black Panther.

Yes, most SJW comics did okay for 1-3 months, then all of their sales dropped off of a cliff. From 18K-25K down to 1.8K for trash like Squirrel Girl. The problem with social jihadists is that they never create their own original work, they simply take over the work of others. That made me wonder what version of Magneto Bob would want to see in an MCU X-Men feature. Given his dislike of a morally grey anti-hero like Venom, I imagine that he would want an unambiguously evil master of magnetism like Ultimate Magneto (albeit without the Millar-esque edginess.)
