I would like to expand upon that phrase, "The biggest sinners always wrap themselves in the cloths of the pious."
I define piety by action and Bob is about as active as sloth. While he does have some sort of work ethic, most of it is focused on claiming that he is a virtuous man rather commit his life to virtuous acts because the former requires little actual effort. Additionally, and perhaps paradoxically, even the most pious individuals recognize that they are flawed beings and seek redemption through repentance and penance whenever the commit a sin. Bob attempts to deflect attention away from his countless sins and still has the audacity to present himself as a moral paragon.
It would be quite a sight to see Bob defend himself to St. Peter at the gates of Heaven. He would fit right in with the denizens of Hell in the flames of perdition.
Out of curiosity, what kind of punishment do you think Bob would get in hell?
