Ah, poor Bob is severely hampered by his simplistic and blatantly binary worldview. I find it intriguing that he views aspiration as mutually exclusive from delusion. His fundamental problem is that he wants to see human nature for what he wants it to be, but cannot accept human nature for what it is: complex and chaotic. I've been binge watching some Jurassic Park commentaries on YouTube ahead of Fallen Kingdom and the character of Ian Malcolm and his criticism of John Hammond's attempts to force crude controls on complex systems has been on my mind. Bob clearly believes that those that he considers human (as well as those he does not) are the same intellectually and morally and therefore aspire for the same goals. In his case, his "tribe" all aspire for a globalist utopia while the "others" aspire to keep the world in a perpetual dark age.

Mythology, as he sees it, is a form a societal control. Hence the reason why he applauds the convergence of social justice narratives into pop culture and makes it the cornerstone of his personal ideology, except there is no foundation for it. What he fails to realize consistently is that humans are individuals of varying intellects, personalities, and desires. As such, flexibility and a sense of realpolitik is a necessity in a world populated by fundamentally chaotic beings. It was that fatal flaw in reasoning that led to his preferred candidates defeat despite the left's iron grip on the mainstream media, entertainment industry, and academia. Bob's rigidly ideological outlook as rendered him unable to recognize a potential paradigm shift as the whole of western civilization may be heading towards a flashpoint.
