Interestingly enough, the first pilot episode of the Original Star Trek (later remade into a regular episode) was about a race of aliens who created the ability to live out their fantasies via illusions, and who nearly destroyed themselves since their lives no longer had a purpose. I could see Bob as a child similarly hunched over his Nintendo as his schoolmates socialized and frolicked in the outdoor sunshine; I could see Bob as a young adult, similarly hunched over his GameBoy as he sits in his car, waiting for his loving family to go to sleep. I can see Future Bob in the Nursing Home, long neglected by his brother's and sister's children, hunched in a wheelchair, tweeting out his disdain over the election of Emperor For Life Barron Trump.
