Nike hiring Colin Kapaernik is only about money. They’re cashing in on the controversy so not sure why anyone would praise this unless they’re retarded which Blobbo is. Companies don’t have altruistic intentions, it’s about appearing woke to sell more shoes to people who don’t have money to buy shoes. They’ll be shooting each other over Jordans again.

it explains why SJWs want to turn all forms of entertainment into a Church of Social Justice where people are told the right things to believe /think and receive validation to satisfy their own personal appetites. Absent from their church are the tangible acts of charity, social binding and asceticism/self-improvement that are crucial to genuine, functional religions.
They advocate for trannies and pee o'seas! They signal boost! It is the currency of the post-scarcity, moon-wheat world. Isn't that charity?

Is about anything else when it comes to a company like this? Attention, no matter the reason, it's good. But Nike needs to do PR to wash away the fact that a pregnant woman lost her baby after being quashed with a cattle prod by a guard because she wanted to earn a bit more money for her slave work. What better way to appear woke than shower with money a famous black man to say "This company is woke, people. I love them, and if i love them all black people love them."

I'm surprised Bob can't even figure out something that basic. I bet he doesn't even know why it rains or how money is made.

"AHAHAHAHAHA, you're the nobodies!"

And we're not supposed to instinctively blame you again how?

Who wants to tell him what, Bob? That you sit on a board of movie critics nobody ever heard of? That you've been a cringe panelist at conventions discussing fucking trailer reactions? That in a fit of incredible bad judgment the relaunched Escapist gave you your old roost back -- and you've already been publicly warned by someone there to take shit down a notch? Or that you've inspired what's now one of the largest threads on Kiwi Farms?

That last one's a genuine accomplishment, buddy.

Yeah getting a panel at a con isn't impressive considering I've seen film extras who were in one film ever get panels to discuss the film they were in it doesn't take much to get a con panel.

So I had a moment of free time to just sit and think, and instead of using it for anything useful or beneficial to me I couldn't get a certain Bob conundrum out of my head.

He's made a tweet at some point where he somehow puts The Dark Knight (Heath Ledger Joker movie) as an early part of the "How we got Drumpf" equation. Nevermind how that theory is supposed to make sense, it does to him apparently so I'll run with it. On this note he'll never say this out loud, but we all know part of it is that TDK got just popular enough outside of the nerd-o-sphere that the "dudebro" contingent adopted it. As I write this I realize this is probably where he draws the connection, I don't know fuck it.

He's also very obviously turned on TDK, despite being a big fan of it in the past.

This has created a Chicken or Egg problem to me.

Did he change his mind on liking the film because he discovered the "Secret Drumpfism" in it? Or did he discover "Secret Drumpfism" in the film because he decided he didn't like it anymore?

When Gamergate happened a lot of Joker memes were repurposed by both sides. One of the early dismissals of the pro-side is that they were simply agents of chaos who were willing to burn down everything just to see the worst in humanity. It also didn't hurt that the Joker is a FUCKING WHITE MALE who threw a woman out a window. Naturally, the trolls reacted by co-opting the Clown King, because SJW's learn nothing. At least that's how I think Blob arrived at such an irrational outcome.

So does that make the SJWs, at least in their own minds, Batman?

Sorry, I had a bit of a tism moment and didn't explain my core question/point.

The core I want to try and get at is, what came first? Bob deciding he no longer liked the movie, or Bob deciding the movie contributed to how we elected Pmurt?

I think Bob decided he didn't like the movie for whatever reason and then in some weird logic, hoping to explain how he can never enjoy it again found the secret trumpisms

Oh, sorry, the short answer is that he liked the movie until it was socially unacceptable to like it.

Bob turned on TDK pre-Trump. He wrote a blog post autistically comparing Nolan Batman to Romney years ago. He's a ridiculous man who ties popcorn movies to politics because he's a fucking pseudo-hipster trying to make thus crap seem deep. He hates TDK because he decided to start sucking Marvel's cock.

I think his tying capeshit to politics is more an issue of immaturity and ignorance at how the world works than an attempt at hipsterism. Look how many people tried comparing Trump to assorted villains from pop culture and all decided that they were of course going to build an army in secret a la Harry Potter. Of course they then realized this would take work and instead railed helplessly behind their keyboards.

At the 40th Anniversary Celebration for Star Wars Lucas said he made a film 40 years ago for 12 year olds and the crowd of manchildren laughed like he was joking. Capeshit crowd are the same they have a need for their childish shit to be taken serious. I'm a fan of both but I know what they are and the fan bases are the worst.
